Given the informative link you shared, Thomas F. McCord is certainly someone well versed in intelligence (not to mention his expertise also with the Russian language). Where I couldn't say with any certainty that he crossed paths with the Oswald of legend (the "defector"), Colonel McCord does have all the trimmings for a shrewd intelligence operative lurking in the shadows. The issue with these intelligence types, especially those with military cover, is they rarely--if ever--leave any fingerprints.
