BELIN. When did you get over to the southeast corner of the sixth floor?
Mr. TRULY. That I can't answer. I don't remember when I went over there. It was sometime before I learned that they had found either the rifle or the spent shell cases.
Why was Roy Truly over in the sniper's nest before the authorities actually found any incriminating "evidence"?
Well worth consideration: Beginning at about 12:30pm CST on 11/22/'63, the TSBD, DealyPlaza, and the city of Dallas, Texas was in a state of chaos for several days.
And, those of us who remember the afternoon of 11/22/'63, as well as the events through the weekend, should, and most do, recall the ambiguity regarding the early reporting of the assassination attempt, and the noticeable chaos accompanying those early reports.
While performing his duties as the TSBD BuildingSuperintendent on 11/22/'63, just after escorting DPD MotorcyclePatrolOfficer ML Baker up to the roof, apparently RS Truly, while returning to each floor, noticed an open sixth floor window with view of the area blocked by boxes stacked behind it. And, knowing shots had been fired at the JFKSr Motorcade in an assassination attempt almost directly in front of said building just a few minutes earlier, he likely felt that he needed to observe the area.
