Those who do nothing about 911 will very soon find an even bigger [MUCH BIGGER!] and newer 'New Pearl Harbor' - one that likely will signal the end of life with freedoms - only slaves/serfs and the dead will exist under a few 'masters'....your choice and your future for you and your family/children/friends.....Most likely I won't long enough to see that happen, and everything that will ever matter to me is already destroyed anyway. What's the difference?
I don't know if you are talking on a very personal level - it seems so. There are a hell of a lot of reason to be down about what democracy, liberties, freedoms, quality of life, chances for success, environment, etc. already have been lost and a daily Orwellian reality....but it has NOT YET gotten to the point where one can't DO something about it to reverse all of it! I get depressed too - but I'm going down fighting as much and as hard as I can. Knowledge implies responsibility. Look at the Frederick Douglass quote in my signature below. Doing nothing only helps 'them' to achieve their goals faster and more easily. It is NOT a 'done deal' about which we can do nothing - unless we all do nothing...... As to 'what's the difference and making a difference I'd like to remind all of the quote by Margaret Mead "Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world; indeed, it's the only thing that ever has." Hell, I don't even have any offspring and I'm doing it for 'the children' of the World and others - and not just for humans - for the evildoers and walking-blind are not just making life miserable for humans, but destroying the entire Gaian Ecosystem and all creatures that live in it! Do it for the animals and plants - there are many reasons to be cynical about most humans - but even with them there are a few noble and innocent ones.....
...and lastly....if you feel like there is nothing you can do and are 'helpless' to effect change - then they have won and you have fallen into the trap they have built with their plans and propaganda. I'm not saying it is easy, but I am saying it is worth the fight and the battle is not lost unless one chooses to withdraw and surrender.
