I hate to sound like Johnny Cochran, but it boils down to this:
If the lineups were slanted, then the evidence was planted.
There's no way that police misconduct in the lineups can be reconciled with an "Oswald was gulty" scenario.
If LHO killed Tippit and he was the guy the witnesses saw, there's no reason for the authorities to influence or lead the witnesses to him.
Only if Oswald was NOT guilty would the police tactics used while he was in custody make any sense.
