I appreciate your thinking. I sometimes wonder if Nechiporenko was cooperating with his CIA counterparts to implicate Oswald
with the Soviets to force the removal of both JFK and Kruschev since he wrote in his book that it was Oswald that visited the embassy.
It is more likely that Oswald never went down there, the description of blonde, 5ft6" tall indicates this.
However what the hardline Soviets would have done if Nagell had killed or injured Oswald?
And why the softline Soviets who knew of the plot and wanted to save JFK's life did not inform RFK or shooting Oswald in Mexico themselves?
Unless Nagell lied and it was never his intention to kill Oswald because the Soviets never told him anything like that.
And he ended up in jail to avoid involving himself in the plot or for some other undisclosed reason.
He blamed the Anti-Castro Cubans for pllaning it. Maybe his purpose was to exonerate the Soviets by saying what he said and false sponsor the Cuban exiles.
And to be allowd to travel to East Germany after all this...Complicated stuff and certainly not as simple Nagell made it sound.
