Great Jim. Will post everywhere. If possible try to point out how Chomsky is not really a leftist because when it comes to the only stuff big enough to matter, he writes stuff that may as well be pure CIA. Also good to point out that once, long ago, leftists were allowed to write about the CIA. Always good to point out distinction btw. foundation funded "left" v. real left. But do as you must.
By the way I am now reading the Stern book that Chomsky mostly relies on. I must say DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THE NEW STERN BOOK. I hardly recognize it as by the same author who wrote Averting The Final Failure. It bills itself as a rebuttal to 13 Days, which is fine, but it is not at all convincing, because he (surprise) assumes the CIA and SAC is totally under JFK's thumb rather than about the flap his scalp.
That said, what is truly remarkable about Stern's bad book is the incredible degree to which Chomsky distorts it. Look the short version is that Stern really emphasizes JFK's aloneness sans Bobby agains that hawks, and paints Bobby as pure Hawk.
But Chomsky amazingly STILL manages to bash JFK in addition to Bobby on this! He picked the only friggin cherry on the tree. He and Dick Cheny are fit to share some yellow birthday cake together.
