I am not so sure how well planned and executed the ambush was. The shot that struck Kennedy in the back either misfired or struck something in the way. Ideally they should have hit JFK at the corner with one shot from the rear. They missed. At least 2 shots and probably more missed, and if the car did not come to a stop the president would have survived. Not sure that wasn't a lucky accident for the plotters. Also Oswald should have been eliminated immediately following the shooting, before he could be apprehended by the police. If the head shot came from the S Knoll through the windshield, it was a poorly planned shot. Bullets striking glass at an angle almost always deviate in some way.
