Received the following "receipt acknowledgement" email from Austin PD w/regard to my request for any reports on the burglary of Darby's residence:
"Thank you for your email. It will be forwarded to the appropriate individuals for processing.
If this is an Open Records Request, please be advised that the Police Department's Central Records Division receives over 2000 requests for information a month. Central Records processes those requests in the order received, and strives to respond to each request promptly, as required by law. Please know that, as a result of the large volume of requests received, the anticipated timeframe for responding to your request is approximately 30 days.
