I've never communicated with Walt Brown, but am aware of all the work he's done (I loved The People vs. Lee Harvey Oswald). I hadn't heard he was walking away from this subject.
Do you know why he would be pulling a Gary Shaw?
In his final paper version of his newsletter he wrote this. Walt devoted his entire adult life, including 5 books, to the JFK case. He was as obsessed and knowledgeable as any person I have ever met on the subject of JFK. With the 50th anniversary and the completion of his massive chronology he has decided ...for lack of a better term.. that there is no more that he can do. (paraphrasing his last newsletter).
So I would not call this a "Gary Shaw". I believe fear drove Gary away from this buz after the death of some of his colleagues.
