My own view is, the plan was for a third plane to hit Building 7 and it was wired like WTC 1 & 2 accordingly. I'm sure Larry Silverstein was in on it. But I can't believe he would have put his head in the noose by blabbing about it on the morning of 9/11.
They do it all the time. They assess the situation and then declare the building NWS, not worth saving. That allows it to be demolished for safety reasons.
