Thank you for your response Ms Moore. And yes, President and Mrs Kennedy were in Houston on the evening of Nov 21, 1963 prior to flying to Fort Worth later. But, I have no memory of a motorcade as such on that date and much of the trip from the airport would have been on the Gulf Freeway to the downtown area. The Rice University speech was ideal for a following motorcade as it could take a direct trip along Main St for the 4 plus mile trip downtown to the Rice Hotel, and it was definitely on Sep 12, 1962. I just remember noticing President Kennedy's color that seemed very tan, and the airplane with the political advertisement. After the assassination, much later actually, I recalled the lack of camera activity versus the many that were in Dealy Plaza some 14 months and 10 days later. I also recall the president, by himself, sitting on the top of the back seat and trunk area of the limo, making a much easier target than when assassinated. Being a witness to the motorcade, I am curious about what I saw, and although I didn't attend the speech I am sure I have seen video of most, if not all of it. But, thanks again for your input.
