This classic article by Lisa Pease is, for my money, even more important today than it was when it was published. Since we know so much more today about Oswald.

What is amazing about it is this: everything in it happened BEFORE Kennedy was killed.
Now considering what Otepka was doing, that is determining if Oswald was a genuine or fake defector, well, that would be pretty important to the WC, right?
Try to find his name in the index to the WR.
Simply incredible that its not there.

Great article. I wonder whatever happened to Holden? Otepka died in 2010.
Bytheway, in Otto's wiki page, The Ordeal of Otto Otepka was written by William J. McGill

That is wrong. Its Gill.
Interesting question about Hoden.
Can't find anything about him online.

You're right…… it's Gill. My apologies to Ms. Pease. But Otto's wiki needs an edit. Many do.

Just to inform about William J. Gill--Many don't realize that the Otepka biographer William J. Gill was married to a former Nazi Abwehr spy, Countess Mechtilde Podewils who spied in Spain in 1937 and was repeatedly interrogated for her likely role in the July 20, 1944 plot to assassinate Hitler. She came to the U.S. under Operation Paperclip. If anybody knows how and why she wound up married to Gill, please let us all know. James Lateer

An exceptional read @ Ms. Pease, thanks for sharing this piece, Mr. D.
Hopefully someone will be able to answer Mr. Lateer's question @ strange bedfellows.
