I think the pedestal film's (the one attributed to Abraham Zapruder) purpose was to allow the FBI/Warren to easily note down who witnessed the event - who got a real good look at the Secret Service's actions - and to 'reach' them before they 'talk'.
If you think about it, you're the conspirators, you've got to have it covered when it comes to witnesses. What better way to do that than to film the event with all the witnesses in shot?
'Start a couple of minutes before the motorcade arrives to maximise the chances achieving this, and then film it for real a few minutes later when arrives.
Abraham Zapruder worked side-by-side with the wife of George DeMohrenschildt. But Jack White says he cannot have filmed it judging by other film's/photos. So where was he? Could he have been one of the gunmen? Who better than a man who claims to get dizzy at the slightest elevation? And I'm very suspicious of Sitzman. She's thoroughly dishonest at least.
Anyway, I think that when the FBI/CIA saw this film they decided to take advantage and fabricate to contradict and therefore trump all the important witness accounts.
