My conversation with Professor Scott. Please forgive my stammering. He's an extraordinary person. I was nervous.

Yes, I enjoyed it too...and didn't notice your being nervous. PDS is really one of the bright lights in our field. Someone should do a long video of his life and work - with lots of interviews!

Peter Dale Scott liked the interview.

I got a little confused about the Helliwell material. From what I understood I think he said Angleton's pursuit of the Winston Scott papers found evidence of Helliwell's involvement with both Watergate and the Kennedy assassination. Or was it that papers discovered during Watergate showed a desperate need to cover-up Helliwell's mention in the Scott papers which in turn showed a serious connection between Helliwell's CIA drug underground and the assassination? I like Peter Dale Scott because he is keen to show the connection between Helliwell and the French Connection.

Deep Politics Forum continues to be instructive since I had never heard of Frank Brandstetter before. That's a trip because I have visited Las Brisas. Brandstetter was deep and involved in the 488th Intel group. His protection of anti-de Gaullist Tiro De Bourgerie(sp?) gives a live wire link between this Mediterranean underground and the assassination that Peter Dale Scott doesn't miss the significance of.

Great work Alan. I love PDS's honesty, and had to smile when you asked him early on about his definition of Deep Politics, and he responded that he doesn't remember what he writes. We need more like him.
The shadow is a moral problem that challenges the whole ego-personality, for no one can become conscious of the shadow without considerable moral effort. To become conscious of it involves recognizing the dark aspects of the personality as present and real. This act is the essential condition for any kind of self-knowledge.

Quote:PROFESSOR SCOTT: Right, but I'm telling you that there's a document that we have, and the document has a code word classification that begins with JM, and the only other document that we have with the same code word is a list of documents that were taken out of files at the time of William Colby's search for the family jewels in 1975 and put in the safe of Theodore Shackley, and the thing that really amazes me is that the man that I'm most interested in connection with CIA and drugs is a man called Paul Helliwell, and the only reference to Paul Helliwell in the million documents on Rex Bradford's website is in this list of documents that were withheld from the family jewels. So we know it's a very sensitive document, and it had to do with Watergate it had to do with Watergate!

So you have Angleton going down in connection with the Kennedy assassination to Mexico on a very secret mission, and you have Helliwell and some document related to Watergate and they're both Oh! JM/SPUR, I remember now; it's JM/SPUR. These are the only JM/SPUR documents, and it intrigues me that "spur" is the German for "trace," and I think obviously in Angleton going to Mexico City it was to eliminate the traces of conspiracy that existed in Winn Scott's file, and that here is another elimination of traces to prevent William Colby from including them in his family jewels that he has prepared. It was initially I say "his" family jewels. The search was initiated by Schlesinger, because at a time when Nixon had put Schlesinger in…

I think what Professor Scott is trying to say here is the reason Helliwell is mentioned in any JM/SPUR documents associated with Watergate is because they are related to the Kennedy Assassination - to which, in turn, Watergate had serious relations in the form of Nixon's "Bay Of Pigs thing". If you continue to listen Professor Scott then takes great interest in the French Connection vector as it was indirectly associated with Tiro De Bougerie (sp?) who was protected in Acapulco by Brandstetter who was directly linked with the 488th Military Intelligence group in Dallas along with other deep intel players. This perks my ears because Professor Scott is keenly sensing the correct vector through which many things related to the assassination came. They were piggybacked on Helliwell's drug bailiwick.
