Wait a minute, this new trove of DPD documents related to the JFK Assassination were only discovered in some 'safe' or sealed back room within the last very few years....strangely, I can't yet find that date on Google [maybe not so strange]....it was WELL after Harold's death, and just a few years ago..... Anyone have the date?!

Having looked at the documents Tracy pointed to, I see many by the same investigator on similar to the 'same general' topic, but not the exact same document. Then the question becomes why were the recent 'find' of DPD segregated and hidden all these years?!...as much as anything else.

Peter, look at page 15 of the 16-page PDF. It's the same document you posted. So it must have been released during the ARRB years.

W. Patrick Gannaway was in charge of the Dallas Police Department Special Service Bureau, which contained the intelligence/surveillance squad. He is a highly suspect character IMO. He was in a perfect position to be aware of Oswald before the assassination.

OK, then I reframe the entire thread: Old DPD document REDISCOVERED; tends to show that someone looking like Oswald, or Oswald, drove around in Ruby's car..............:Depressed:

I agree with you on Gannaway - the ENTIRE DPD intelligence squad is highly suspect!

Yeah, and Whitworth's friend Gertrude Hunter also testified that she saw Oswald drive. Irving City Council member and owner of Clifton's Barber shop, Cliff Shasteen, testified at length about cutting Oswald's hair and seeing him drive up to the barber shop: "He drove that there 1955, I think it's a 1955, I'm sure it's a 1955 Chevrolet station wagon. It's either blue and white or green and white it's two-toned...." he told the WC. Lots of people saw "Oswald" drive during the whole Alice, Texas road trip.

Aletha Frair made a signed statement to Jim Garrison that she witnessed Oswald's returned driver's license at the Texas Department of Public Safety in Austin soon after the assassination. She also named a half dozen other DPS workers who saw it.

Liebeler put Marina and Whitworth and Hunter together to "solve" the issue, which, of course, wasn't solved. Isn't it amazing the neither the Warren Commission, nor the FBI, nor anyone at the Dallas Police Department apparently bothered to call DPS to ask about "Lee Harvey Oswald?" That's a helluva investigation, eh? Let's call Dan Rather or Chris Matthews--no doubt they'll sound the alarm!

Yes, it does sound like her car. Here's a fuller excerpt of Shasteen's testimony: "He drove that there 1955, I think it's a 1955, I'm sure it's a 1955 Chevrolet station wagon. It's either blue and white or green and white it's two-toned--I know that. Now, why I say--why I take it for granted that Mrs. Paine was with him when he come to the grocery store--I do remember he wasn't driving when they would come to the grocery store, there would be a lady driving and I'm assuming that that was Mrs. Paine, because like I say, I have been--I have never been close enough to her and knew it, to speak to her, but she trades at the service station where I do and I saw her in there and I never did pay any attention to her and I saw her passing, met her in the road in the car and those things." Peter, et al,

I have been slowly (too slowly) downloading all of the DPD records - the files I have retrieved and put into DropBox so far are listed in this thread.

https://deeppoliticsforum.com/forums/sho...tOMU3laFuo

I will get back to downloading the rest as soon as I have some free time. Meanwhile, that thread will have the updates to new files.

Were Gannaway or Biggio [or any of the other named and unamed persons referred to] ever asked to testify anywhere?...don't think so! As far as I know, the DPD files have NOT been fully mined for what else may lurk therein! This could also have been the second 'Oswald'....but who knows as it was not followed through using normal police/detective/criminal procedures. There was NO investigation - only a cover-up [which continues]!

Very interesting! When did this file appear? Do we know? Is it verified?

I don't know the answer, but know who to ask [and just asked a few questions of them]. I believe it was very recently found. As I said, most of what the DPD suddenly 'found' a few years ago after they were believed to not exist, they are online, but in a chaotic manner and not well indexed...so it is hit and miss what one often finds. Those who go in person are only allowed an hour at times. As far as verified, don't know exactly what you mean. Is it really there in the DPD archives....most likely. I guess it would take two or more independent researchers locating and copying it to make many believe it is there....BUT it being there doesn't make it ipso facto real [although it likely is REAL]...and less so, make it ipso facto true....although it sure looks like an important lead that was purposely not followed up.

That's great...but I can't imagine it will ever all fit in a free Dropbox.

Stuart Wexler, who gave a 50th talk on the document just emailed me and suggest the following when searching within the DPD website....

Here is how it is done... Imagine you have a google search text box when you go to google.com. Inside that text box you would put the following:

[Topic of your search] site:jfk.hood.edu

For example

Dallas Police files site:jfk.hood.edu

But I would strongly recommending using more refined search terms like the following (all in the same search box):

"Dallas Police" AND "Ruby's car" AND Oswald site:jfk.hood.edu

I can't find the previous thread but we discussed Liebler's suborning perjury in this instance and making an effort to avoid investigating it. Then he basically took Marina out there to Mrs Whitworth's and took her at her word that this event never happened. Even though it was clear Marina was under duress and lying.

It's nice discussing this but really, we are at fault because we've had more than enough evidence to act a long time ago. Until we do something that does justice for the fascist coup that killed Kennedy we'll basically be enabling it by not doing so. Time to do a democratic refurbishment in America. We've got enough proof.
