I seem to recall this some time earlier on this forum and it seems to be a fake. Some of the marginalia was not authentic.
"The philosophers have only interpreted the world, in various ways. The point, however, is to change it." Karl Marx

"He would, wouldn't he?" Mandy Rice-Davies. When asked in court whether she knew that Lord Astor had denied having sex with her.

“I think it would be a good idea” Ghandi, when asked about Western Civilisation.

No CIA director would ever put something like that in writing. McCone would just lie to the WC - it's plausible deniability, which the CIA does all the time.

I looked around the web when I first saw the 'document' and came across someone who spoke to John Newman about it. Newman indicated that there are no initials on memo anywhere, which would indicate no one ever saw it. It is fake. It's also a bit of a 'wet dream' scenario. I think I had the same reaction the lady who claims to be the 'Babushka Lady' (Beverly Oliver, I believe). I think she claimed to see the Knoll shooter, but also thought she had seen LHO and Ruby together? It's a bit too unlikely that someone would be important to the case in a couple of unrelated ways - the same goes for a document.

The document certainly appears to be fake, but we don't need it to prove "Oswald" was a paid CIA agent. In 1964, Earl Warren said, "Full disclosure was not possible for reasons of national security." Fourteen years later, CIA accountant James Wilcott in secret HSCA testimony swore that he was told by other agents that payments he disbursed to an encrypted account were for "Oswald or the Oswald Project." The testimony wasn't released for decades.

In 1996 former Deputy Counsel for the House Select Committee on Assassinations Robert Tanenbaum testified at the ARRB hearing in Los Angeles by saying, "the Attorney General of Texas, Henry Wade the District Attorney and Leon Jaworsky counsel to the Attorney General, on the transcript spoke to the Chief Justice and said in substance, as I recall, that they had information from unimpeachable sources that Lee Harvey Oswald was a contract employee of the CIA and the FBI."

Wilcott's full testimony is here.

Tanenbaum's full testimony is here.

Several other government employees have said similar things. This was obvious from the very beginning, just by analyzing the Official Story: A trained U.S. Marine monitoring top secret U-2 spy plane flights defects to the Soviet Union, saying he will tell the Soviets everything he knows about U.S. military secrets. The U.S. State Department then loans him the money to come back stateside, where, a few years later, he is granted permission to travel to Communist nations again, without any repercussions for his previous "treason." Who are we kidding? What could possibly be more fucking obvious than this??!!

Thank you all. It looked too good to be true. Was the Babushka Lady filming? Did Barbara Newman produce any film?

Jim: you forgot to mention that Gary Powers was shot down in his U2 after Oswald's "defection."

I thought about it but didn't because the evidence shows that the guy who sat in the radar bubble watching U-2 flights from Atsugi didn't defect to the Soviet Union, and therefore "Oswald" had nothing to do with the downing of the plane. When you think about it, why would U.S. Intel send a guy with real info about the top secret U-2 to "defect" to the Soviet Union? If he had any real knowledge, it would be too dangerous.

If he was a double agent, his job could have been to learn how soon the Russians would be able to shoot down a U2. Or, since the U2 was fast becoming obsolete (with respect to Russia at least), they could have been trying to find out how long the Blackbird was going to work out. The Blackbird prototype first flew in April 1964, which suggests that it had been in development for a matter of years prior to that.

Good points all! That Oswald [or both of them, if there were two...as to me seems likely at some points in time] was/were intelligence agents is, to me, a given and we need to proceed from there. That the 'Official Fairytale' and Official Fairytale Tellers won't admit to this shouldn't surprise anyone. They can't let a single panel of their Potempkin Village fall or be seen as not real - or the entire edifice and farce collapses. For them it is all or nothing. For us, it has been slowly vetting and accumulating information hidden in all the disinformation.

Indeed, rather than start endless arguments about how many Oswalds were running around in the '50s and early '60s, a more direct point would be to ask if the Oswald we think we know was an agent of the U.S. government. Anyone who answers "no" or "maybe not" isn't worth talking to, imho.
