Under fire in Donetsk got crew REN TV, fortunately, all are alive. Shelling Donetsk did not abate the entire previous day and continued today. Beat in the middle. According to eyewitnesses, were fired dozens of artillery shells. Have died, according to some, they are five. 9 more people were injured. Seriously damaged many buildings.
Damage done to the land explosions Donetsk choking on smoke. In the fire - neighborhood Gladkovka. In a city paralyzed by the war, there are still people willing to risk their lives to counter the effects of endless explosions.
Fired a few hours, the locals say. But even when the gunfire stopped, many people do not come out of hiding. There stuffy, crowded, but relatively safe. These people have yet to see what became of their home. Rockets riddled apartment buildings and debris littered the whole area. Who goes - does not hold back the tears, who stays - do not choose expressions.
"Never in my life did not want to say the Kiev authorities and the people who are there, that I hate them. But now, when the city was bombed and my break, I really beg you, stop it all! Because of this, I'm going to battle," - says a resident of Donetsk.
Woman crying tears silence. Agonizing hours in the dungeons, days and even weeks when hungry - all in vain. Nine people who were held and believed that to survive, died in a hail of shells Ukrainian law enforcers.
Who they are, can be judged not only by their actions. People whose parents had lived in the country, saved the world from the fascist plague, willingly stand up under Nazi banners. This video shooting training recruits Ukrainian law enforcers. Each badge battalion "Azov" and the symbol "right sector." On the helmet from the rebels who are fighting under the Ukrainian flag, a symbol of fascist swastika and the SS - Hitler's riot - punishers who raped, burned alive, killed in the concentration camps of children, women and old people. After 69 years after the atrocities of these militants "right sector" in Nazi ammunition took up arms and promised that their hand will not tremble.
Militias know against what and against whom war. Defenders of Donbass continued offensive against the so-called the National Guard under Mariupol. There is a battalion of "Azov", together with their commander Andrei Belitsky. In the Ukrainian TV channel, he said, than the last fight ended: "There were 70 soldiers of the battalion, with the support of one anti-aircraft, one mortar and one armored personnel carrier. And it's all heavy weapons battalion" Azov. "From the early morning began a tank battle. Once that have been destroyed two tanks and one armored personnel carrier was hit, the enemy fell back and began to mix fortified with earth. "
Nastuplenie opolcheniya zasnyato video. The footage army Donbassa obstrelivaet positions ukrainskih silovikov in chistom field. In the army Mariupol Ukraine. There are reports that some of the units out of the city, but at the checkpoints are still military equipment with blue-yellow flag.

Not only do the killing units of the Ukraine government get a free pass, the Donetsk and Lugansk oblasts are called regions of the Ukraine. This is a clear message that Putin does not want a Novorossia. The resistance indeed has been told to give it up.

That was the one that caught my eye too. Bless the war-atrocities-turned-peace-writers, for they shall bring no harm upon themselves.

Together we will then form a trade zone with the EU that will unite the entire Eurasian continent from France and Holland to China, Iran and India in a single trade and economic zone.

You would think is would be strongly in Germany's interest too.

Aye, but definitely not is the interests of the US, as it undermines dollar hegemony -- which for me is why the US blew this Ukrainian "affair" up in the first place, as they sought to encumber any and all continuing European "friendship" with Russia and, again, working to undermine the Euro as a competing international trade currency.

Yeah, fuck the EU you get Nulandistan. The German soft power was going quite well for a while there. But the US will have none of that. Only way the US can have a say in Europe is through NATO. Hence the military solution and not political or diplomatic.

Apparently there have been at least 30,000 killed in the Donbass. Kiev is resorting to Saudi paid Chechen mercenaries who used to work for ISIS

In Ukraine against Putin and Kadyrov Chechen war with the EU - Press

Monday, September 8, 2014, 15:53 Print Comments 17 On the side of Ukrainian troops in the war zone ATO Chechen mercenaries from Austria and other European countries.
Reported Austrian edition Die Presse .
According to the newspaper, among the fighters are both citizens of Austria and Chechens with refugee status.
"Eighteen months ago I found compatriots and informed about their intention. Some of them have gone to Ukraine. Yet three weeks later - again," - said the site Shamayeva Mohammed, a former chief of the Chechen special forces and the authority of a certain part of the Chechen community.
Die Presse said that Shamayeva also for years been an important contact point for the Austrian Interior Ministry, if necessary, to resolve a "contentious situation."
Shamayeva added that the exact number of soldiers can not give me.
Former Professor of Political Science, University of Vienna, Hans-Georg Heinrich, who has strong ties to the Chechen community also confirmed that the members of the community is "great interest" to fight as mercenaries against Russia and some have gone for it in Ukraine.
When prompted publication, the Interior Ministry responded that it is not received information about the Chechens, who went from Austria to fight in the Ukraine, but added that he knew of such cases in other European countries.
Also a former member of the pre-war Chechnya, and today - representative of "democratic union Chechens in Austria" Hussein Ishanov confirmed the dissemination of information about the intention of his countrymen to fight in Ukraine.
"This week I phoned countrymen from Tyrol and have indicated their interest. Fate of Ukraine - the main theme in the community. I also say to young people, if you really want to fight about, we do it not in Syria, which does not concern us, and in Ukraine" , - the publication of his words.
Die Presse notes that first of all it is not a religious fanatic, and mature people who have fought against the Russian and pro-Moscow Kadyrov regime in Chechnya and therefore fled to the West.
"In the first group that I had found before leaving were mostly people I still do not know. A second group two weeks ago consisted of men of great military experience," - said Shamayeva.
The motive of these people is simple - with the protection of Ukraine carried out revenge Putin and Kadyrov vendetta men who are fighting on the side of separatists edition adds.
At the same time, Die Presse claims that Austrian Chechens constitute only a tiny fraction of foreign mercenaries are fighting on the side of Ukraine - representatives of the people from other European countries active.
First of all we are talking about Denmark, where former Chechen Brigadier General Isa Munayev created the so-called international peacekeeping battalion to which in early June joined 300 Chechens. Some warlords also promised to participate in this battalion. Munayev himself, according to the publication, a few weeks ago went to Ukraine.
According Ishanova This is just the beginning - such famous people as Munayev collect volunteers from Europe.
Ishanov added that the first serious contacts between Ukrainian and Austrian Chechens on this issue took place in Austria during Putin's visit to this country.
"Independence Day of Ukraine on 24 August they celebrated the Square of St. Stephen are together. Friendship is not new: in the Chechen war Ukrainian soldiers helped the Chechens" - writes Die Presse.
According Shamayeva Western mercenaries crossing the border illegally Ukraine, then join combat units.

Territorial battalions

Definition:
The National Guard of Ukraine [("NGU"), also known as Nationalist Guard, NaziGuard, or simply nazis,] - a structure with law enforcement functions, a part of the Ministry of Internal Affairs(Police) of Ukraine, created by transforming the Police Internal Troops on March 12th, 2014 via a new law "On the National Guard of Ukraine".

By converting the internal troops of the Ministry of Internal Affairs into the National Guard of Ukraine, the [coup-formed] Ukrainian government has achieved the following goals:
- Break the continuity of command in the ranks of the internal troops and the Ministry of Interior and put their men in key positions;
- To continue the repression of political opponents under the guise of "cleaning the ranks of the internal troops and the Ministry of Interior";
- Delete the files of criminal and administrative offenses, which in the case of disclosure could discredit the government;
- Replace the too "by-the-book" people in the former internal security forces, to replace the "law and order" in the ranks of internal troops and the Interior Ministry with "ideological purity" and "nationalist ideals".

Due to these changes the ranks of the NGU have swelled with [nationalist] volunteers and [extremist] fighters of the "Right Sector". But, despite the apparent "ideological bias", the confrontation between different battalions of the NGU, due to different understanding of the national idea, and different level of training, has by now split the ranks of the National Guard into three structures:

1) Territorial battalions, punitive battalions. "Azov", "Donbass", "Aidar", "Shahtersk", etc., entirely or mostly staffed by people with criminal records, nationalists and "Right Sector" men, as well as volunteers from the Baltic states, Georgia, and PMC mercenaries. These tend to have an extremely brutal attitude towards the locals they are supposed to be "liberating". Because statutes and regulations of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine are not inherited by the new battalions, these "liberators" are using all possible methods of warfare and punitive actions in traditions of their forebears from SS- Galician, UPA and other Ukrainian ultranationalist organizations of World War II. In view of their "specialization" these units tend to also have the highest casualty rates. Identifying marking of these units is yellow duct tape.

2) Volunteer territorial battalions. "Vinnitsa", "Tavria", "Sich", "Phoenix", etc. These are formed of volunteers who have, according to the propaganda machine of Ukraine, been changed enough to be suitable for punitive battalions. Lack military training, as well as both ideological and legal basis for fighting in a war. Identifying marking of these units is also yellow duct tape.

3) The police battalions. "Skif", "Kherson", "Kiev-1" and others. Remains of the internal troops that somehow escaped the purges in the ranks of Ministry of Interior, and mainly serve as units guarding Slavyansk and other "liberated" cities, as well as finding suitable "volunteers" for punitive battalions among persons with criminal records. Presumably, identifying marking of these units is red duct tape.

Because the "last" battalion mentioned in the media is already â„–43, I ask you to help us collect information about the missing ones. Depending on the information collected, article will be updated.

PS2. On the title picture, one of the punitive troop fighters from the "Donbass" battalion killed near Karlovka, where the 1st assembly of the punitive battalion was halved.

EDIT:

Now the essence of Mozgovoy's Address, which is nothing less than a declaration of revolution and Novorossiya itself as a revolution:

1. The signing of the "Minsk Protocol about Truce" was an act of treason. The leaders of the people's republics who signed it must resign.
2. 90% of the people of Novorossiya and 100% of the Army of Novorossiya are against the Truce Protocol and the conditions (of surrender) which the Protocol contains.
3. Ceasefire does not exist. There is no peace. The alleged ceasefire is farce.
4. Kuchma's signature means nothing. That also means that the Kiev junta itself did not actually sign anything. Only the two leaders of the people's republics took unilaterally certain obligations on behalf of the people's republics, usurping and abusing their positions to do so.
5. In creating and signing the Protocol (resembling the Munich Deal of 1938), the given leadership had no interest in asking those, the soldiers and the people of Novorossiya, who fight for the right to be free and to have their will respected, what they think.
6. The battle has to be carried to its victorious end. There is no other way.
7. Oligarchic power in Ukraine must be destroyed
8. No "special status" for Novorossiya, as stated in the Minsk Protocol, within a "united," "indivisible," Nazi, Banderite, oligarchic Ukraine! Novorossiya already has its special statusit is its vision of a dignified, just society. Society based on narodovlastiyepower and freedom of the working people!
9. To this effect, the Military Council of Novorossiya must be convened as soon as possible. Its task is to reaffirm the unity of Novorossiya and the continuation of its revolutionary program.
10. We all need to be united! The separate people's republics must finally form one strong united state of Novorossiya. Only in this way, victory can be achieved.
11. Novorossiya does not need those who sold themselves and who want to sell Novorossiya.
12. Novorossiya and her revolution is a struggle for our honor, dignity, and justice. That's what we are fighting for. Let it honor with freedom or death!
13. Honor belongs to those who win it!
14. Victory will be ours!

They are certainly fighting for a better looking future than is being offered by Kiev fascists. I hope they prevail and bring the rest of the Ukrainian people with them.

Here Is Why Europe Just Launched The "Nuclear Option" Against Russia

Submitted by Tyler Durden on 09/08/2014 16:11 -0400

Europe's leaders, we assume under pressure from Washington, appear to be making a big weather-related bet with their taxpayers' lives this winter. As they unleash funding sanctions on Russia's big energy producers, Europe has pumped a record volume of natural gas into underground inventories in an effort to 'outlast' Russia and mitigate any Napoleonic "Winter War" scenario. The plan appears to be to starve Russian energy firms of cashflow - as flows to Europe are already plunging - and remove their funding ability, potentially forcing severe hardship on Russia's key economic drivers. There appears to be 3 potential problems with this plan...

As Bloomberg reports,

Europe's reliance on Russian natural gas shipments via Ukraine is declining after the region pumped a record volume of the fuel into underground inventories, minimizing the risk of shortages during the coming winter.

The blue line above shows average daily flows at Velke Kapusany on the Slovakian-Ukrainian border, the biggest single entry point for Russian gas into the European Union, last month fell to a record, according to data from Slovak grid operator Eustream AS going back to 2011. The red histogram shows the 28-nation bloc has pumped a record volume of gas into storage, according to Gas Infrastructure Europe, a lobby group in Brussels.

Natural gas flows from Russia to the EU haven't been affected in the current crisis. Storage sites in Slovakia, which had to seek emergency imports after its supplies were cut in 2009, were 92 percent full on Sept. 4, according to Gas Infrastructure Europe.
* * *
So Europe is stocking-up - which makes perfect sense - just in case Russia pulls the plug... but has now taken the situation to "11" on the Spinal Tap amplifier of escalating tensions by planning sanctions on Russia's energy providers.
The plan appears clear:

stock-up now (to survive the winter)...

starve Russian firms of cashflow (thanks to stockpiles)...

cut off their funding source (sanctions)...

force Putin's economy into a tailspin...

Putin folds and it all ends happily ever after
* * *
There appears to be 3 problems with this plan...
1) What if the weather is considerably colder than normal this winter? (i.e. they need more supply)

It already appears as though the developing El Nino pattern may mean noticeably colder weather this winter...

Central based El Nino's seem to be associated with much colder European winters than eastern based El Nino's. Temperature anomalies come out on average 2-3c colder than a "normal" European winter.

With a central based El Nino forecast for winter 2014/2015 this would suggest a chance of some brutal cold moving much of central and northern Europe at times this winter.

For the United Kingdom and Ireland a central based El Nino does suggest a colder than average winter as well - Because of our proximity to the Atlantic Ocean the negative anomaly is much less extreme for Great Britain than it is for central Europe and Russia. Nevertheless, with the temperature anomaly coming out at 1c colder than average, the UK would still have a greater chance of a colder than average winter than an eastern based El Nino.
2) Russia has already committed to supporting the sanctioned firms (and we would hardly be shocked if China chipped in)

The Russian government, according to Bloomberg, is ready to provide 1.5 Trillion rubles financing to Rosneft to support production at current level, Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev says in Vedomosti interview.

Details, ways of support are under review

Support wouldn't be in one yr; needed to sustain output because Rosneft is budget's main taxpayer
and furthermore, Gazprom appears to be quickly funding before the sanctions are actually put in place...

As Bloomberg reports, European banks may organize new borrowing for Gazprom, Interfax reports, citing people familiar it doesn't identify.

The company's board to consider some loans Sept. 23, no details yet, news service reports

Gazprom spokesman Sergei Kupriyanov declined to comment when reached by Bloomberg

3) What happens in Spring? German industrials need energy?

It appears that Putin is a patient man... why not wait till the stockpiles have dwindled, winter is over, and then press...?
* * *
It appears Europe's short-term plan to mitigate the "Winter War" may have bigger boomerag consequences than they seem to believe (and bear in mind the consequences of cold, pissed off Europeans in the past).
* * *
We point out that planned sanctions are on Gazprom Neft will be sanctioned (not the gazprom nat gas entity) as Europe appears to be focused on the crude oil side of things for now.
As WSJ reports,

New European Union sanctions on Russia will expand the number of Russian companies unable to raise money in the bloc's capital markets to include three state-owned oil companies, according to documents seen by The Wall Street Journal.

The documents show the EU seeking to hit Russian oil companies, but leaving unscathed those involved in gas production and export, which are critical to many European countries' energy supplies.

...

Under a modest expansion of sanctions introduced in late July, the three oil companies - Gazpromneft, the oil-production and refining subsidiary of OAO Gazprom, oil transportation company Transneft, and oil giant Rosneft - will be forbidden from raising funds of longer than 30 days' maturity.
* * *
So jab at oil companies, and mitigate natural gas restriction blowback?

The War in East Ukraine: US-NATO's Paranoid Falsification of Reality

The West Engineered the Crisis in Ukraine; Now Falsely Accuses Russia

By Carla Stea

Region: Russia and FSU
Theme: Media Disinformation, US NATO War Agenda
In-depth Report: UKRAINE REPORT

Paranoia: The projection, onto another person or group, of an individual's own repressed aggressive or criminal impulses. The target of the projection is then falsely accused of being the aggressor.
More than twenty emergency United Nations Security Council meetings have been called since January, 2014, the majority of them currently demonizing Russian President Putin for destabilizing Eastern Ukraine. With the exception of China, the stark failure to acknowledge and confront the authors of the current tragic bloodshed and slaughter in Ukraine reveals paranoid ideation by US/NATO members of the Security Council, who either willfully ignore or deliberately eschew their own responsibility for the current ongoing carnage.
Putin does not bear responsibility for the destabilization and bloodshed in Ukraine. A mere six months ago the world gasped, when, with three words, "F**k the EU" US Assistant Secretary of State for European and Eurasian Affairs, Victoria Nuland revealed the enormity of United States involvement in masterminding and engineering the destabilization and overthrow of the democratically elected President of Ukraine, Yanukovich, the President who had attempted to protect already impoverished Ukrainians from the scourge of IMF austerity measures which would enforce destitution on the majority of his citizens.
Ten months earlier the IMF "conditionalities" for paltry "economic aid" required that Ukraine double prices for gas and electricity to industry and homes, eliminate a ban on private sale of Ukraine's rich and fertile agricultural lands, cut state funds for children and the elderly to "balance the budget." The infamous "association agreement that Yanukovich refused to sign was a military agreement that would have transformed Ukraine into a military base further completing the encirclement of Russia, and turning Ukraine into a puppet of Nato. President Yanukovich announced, in November 2013, his refusal to sign the "association agreement"
In her scandalous inadvertent exposure of United States involvement in destabilizing Ukraine, the US Assistant Secretary of State for European Affairs is revealed masterminding the overthrow of President Yanukovich, and explicitly deciding with whom she will replace him, as proxy of the west, to control the government of Ukraine, the country adjacent to the Russian Federation. Earlier, in November, 2013 Nuland had been photographed handing out cookies to demonstrators on the streets of Kiev; now, according to BBC reporter Jonathan Marcus: "The U.S. says that it is working with all sides in the crisis to reach a peaceful solution, but Washington clearly has its own game plan.' This transcript suggests that the U.S. has very clear ideas about what the outcome should be and is striving to achieve these goals."
U.S. Ambassador Pyatt: "I think we're in play. The Klitchko piece is obviously the complicated electron here. Especially the announcement of him as deputy prime minister and you've seen some of my notes on the trouble in the marriage right now so we're trying to get a read really fast on where he is on this stuff…and I'm glad you sort of put him on the spot on where he fits in this scenario."
Nuland: "Good. I don't think Klitsch should go into the government. I don't think its necessary, I don't think it's a good idea."
Pyatt: "Yeah, I guess..in terms of him not going into the government, just let him stay out and do his political homework and stuff."
Nuland: "I think Yats is the guy who's got the economic experience, the governing experience. He's the…what he needs is Klitsch and Tyahnybok on the outside. He needs to be talking to them four times a week you know. I just think Klitsch going in…he's going to be at that level working for Yatseniuk, its just not going to work.
Pyatt: "Yeah, no. I think that's right. OK. Good. Do you want us to set up a call with him as the next step?
Nuland: "My understanding from that call but you tell me was that the big three were going into their own meeting and that Yats was going to offer in that context a…three-plus-one conversation or three-plus-two with you. Is that not how you understood it?"
Pyatt: "No. I think… I mean that's what he proposed but I think, just knowing the dynamic that's been with them where Klitschko has been the top dog, he's going to take a while to show up for whatever meeting they've got and he's probably talking to his guys at this point, so I think you reaching out directly to him helps with the personality management among the three and it gives you also a chance to move on all this stuff and put us behind it before they all sit down and he explains why he doesn't like it."
Nuland: OK, good. I'm happy. Why don't you reach out to him and see if he wants to talk before or after.
Pyatt: "OK. Will do. Thanks.
Nuland"OK..one more wrinkle for you Geoff. I can't remember if I told you this, or if I only told Washington this, that when I talked to Jeff Feltman (United Nations Under-Secretary-General for Political Affairs) this morning, he had a new name for the UN guy Robert Serry did I write you that this morning?"
(BBC Commentator Jonathan Marcus: "An intriguing insight into the foreign policy process with work going on at a number of levels: Various officials attempting to marshal the Ukranian opposition; efforts to get the UN to play an active role in bolstering a deal; and as you can see below the big guns waiting in the wings US Vice-President Joe Biden clearly being lined up to give private words of encouragement at the appropriate moment.)
Pyatt: Yeah I saw that."
Nuland: "OK. He's now gotten both Serry and UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon to agree that Serry could come in Monday or Tuesday. So that would be great, I think, to help glue this thing and to have the UN help glue it and, you know, Fuck the EU"
As reported by Matthew Lee of "Inner City Press," "Significant here is that Ban Ki-moon, ostensibly Feltman's boss, apparently didn't tell Feltman what to do. Rather, Feltman "got" Ban Ki-moon to agree to something that was pleasing to the US, to help the US "f*** the EU."
Soon after this conversation, violence and bloodshed escalated into conflagration in Kiev. It was described at a meeting of the United Nations General Assembly on March 27, 2014:
"The central square of the city Maidan Nezalezhnosti was turned into a militarized camp. Well-trained and equipped units of militants carried out violent attacks against law enforcement bodies and seized administrative buildings. In one of those buildings, the trade unions building, the so-called common diversion of the Maidan was organized. On the seventh floor of that building was a permanent staff member of the United States Embassy. By the way, it is from that building that snipers were shooting at police and demonstrators; that action was clearly aimed at provoking a violent overthrow of the Government."
"The crisis was to a large extent provoked by the adventurous actions of the current political forces, which sought to break the centuries-old ties of Russia and Ukraine, by giving Kiev a false choice between either the European Union and the West, or Russia. That policy was carried out with unprecendented bluntness. They could either sign a Ukraine-European Union association agreement, as demanded of the Ukranian government, or they could face sanctions. With the ranks of anti-Government demonstrators were representatives of the European Union and the United States, who openly marched alongside them and called on them to openly carry out anti-Government actions."
It is illuminating, at this point, to quote Yale University Distinguished Professor, Immanuel Wallerstein's description of Victoria Nuland:
"She is a surviving member of the neocon clique that surrounded George W. Bush, in whose government she served (as former principal Deputy Foreign Policy Adviser to Vice President Dick Cheney). Her husband, Robert Kagan is one of the best known ideologues of the neocon group. It is an interesting question what she is doing in such a key position in the Department of State of an Obama presidency. The least he and the US Secretary of State were supposed to do was to remove the neocons from such a role."
"Victoria Nuland will probably enter history as a person who instigated the start of civil war in Ukraine. Nobody who hears the intercepted tape can legitimately deny that the United States, through Nuland, was intimately involved in micro-managing the outcome of the originally independent Ukranian movement." (From: "Nulandgate: Geopolitical Games Around Ukraine").
On Thursday, March 27, during the 80[SUP]th[/SUP] plenary meeting of the United Nations General Assembly, to vote on the referendum in Crimea, Russian ambassador Vitali Churkin described the violence unleashed by the US-NATO destabilization of the government of Ukranian President Yanukovich:
"The Legitimate Government stopped operating in Kiev. Violence became the rule of politics. In the Verkhovna Rada, the parties that supported the Yanukovych majority became victims of that violence. As a result, the Rada was reshuffled and, instead of a Government of national unity, a so-called Government of victors emerged. The shots were called by those who conducted an armed coup, national radicals who according to the definition of the European Parliament preached racist, anti-semitic and xenophobic views and seemed to hate everything that was Russian and did not conceal that they considered the Ukranian allies of Nazis as their ideological ancestors. Nearly the first decision of the new Government was to revoke the official status of the Russian language, which the Crimeans and the inhabitants of eastern and southern Ukraine use. In those regions, Kiev began appointing Governors who were rejected by the local people. Threats were addressed to Crimea to send so-called friendship trains there groups of militants that would continue the kind of violence being carried out in Kiev and in the western and central regions of Ukraine. All that created a kind of critical mass that led the Crimeans to take a decision of self-determination and reunification with Russia. I think that one has to be very misanthropic to criticize them for that."
Following the US sponsored and engineered destabilization and overthrow of President Victor Yanukovich, Crimea held a referendum and voted, by an overwhelming majority, in favor of secession from Ukraine on March 16, 2014. According to the New York Times, March 17,
"The outcome, in a region that shares a language and centuries of history with Russia, was a foregone conclusion, even before the exit polls showed more than 93 percent of voters favoring secession."
Almost immediately afterward, former Ukranian Prime Minister Yulia Timoshenko, the favorite of the earlier Western sponsored and engineered "orange revolution" confirmed her own voice in the tirade she unleashed, shouting, "Ukranians must take up arms against Russians so that not even scorched earth will be left where Russia stands," and she called for nuclear incineration of the eight million Russians who remain on Ukranian territory" She added: "It's time we grab our guns and kill those damn Russians, together with their leader." She added that if she were in charge: "there would be no fucking way that they could get Crimea then." She added: "I hope I will be able to get all my connections involved. And I will use all my means to make the entire world raise up, so that there wouldn't be even a scorched field left in Russia."
In early March, an incriminating phone conversation was made public, during which the Estonian Foreign Minister revealed to European Union Foreign Affairs Chief, Catherine Ashton, that there was evidence that the snipers in Kiev, who had helped precipitate the violent overthrow of President Yanukovich by shooting at protesters and police in Kiev, were hired by Maidan leaders.
As the Estonian Foreign Minister inadvertently revealed, there is abundant evidence that the west employed numerous criminal intrigues to implement the overthrow of the pro-Russian Ukranian President, and install their own puppet Yatseniuk, and had no scruples about slaughtering innocent Ukranian citizens to manipulate and terrorize the Ukranian public.
On April 14, the Associated Press and other Western media reported that the White House confirmed that CIA director John Brennan arrived in Ukraine the weekend of April 13-14, under an assumed name, and held a "series of secret meetings" with Kiev's "power bloc," as revealed by a source in the Ukranian Parliament. The decision to militarily suppress peaceful protesters in Slavyansk was taken during his visit. Former Ukranian President Yanukovich accused the CIA of responsibility for the decision to use military force against non-violent pro-Russia demonstrators.
Immediately following CIA director Brennan's "secret" visit to Kiev, the newly western installed and un-elected junta in Kiev launched lethal military attacks against unarmed Ukranian civilians in Kramatorsk. The front page of the Wall Street Journal for April 16, 2014 announces in bold type: "Ukraine Uses Military Force for the first Time. Soldiers Fire on Pro-Russian separatists at Air Base; U.S. Supports Kiev Response." "The soldiers were shooting at unarmed people"…."about 40 other unarmed pro-Russian activists had approached the gates of Kramatorsk airfield to find out who were there and urge the soldiers to side with them. Soldiers inside opened fire on the unarmed pro-Russian civilian." Apparently eleven people were killed.
Whether coincidental or not, horrific carnage resulting from Kiev's military onslaught against its own citizens in the east and southeast followed CIA chief John Brennan's "secret" visit to the Kiev authorities. These military actions, tantamount to crimes against humanity and ethnic cleansing against Russian speaking Ukranians culminated on May 2, 2014 in Odessa, when 30 pro-Russian civilians, fleeing from violent attack by Kiev's forces, sought refuge in a trade union building, into which pro-Kiev xenophobic nationalists then threw a Molotov cocktail, setting the entire building on fire, and roasting to death the Ukranian civilians who had huddled, terrified inside. Several trapped inside ultimately leaped to their death from the windows of the trade union building as it engulfed in flames those remaining inside. During this crucifixion of pro-Russian Odessan Ukranians, Kiev xenophobic nationalists outside sang the Ukranian national anthem, and chanted: "Burn Beetles Burn," taunting the dying Ukranians inside, who were burning to death. Outside, nationalists spray painted swastikas on the walls of administrative buildings.
The Financial Times reported: "Kiev forces attack separatists in East. More than 30 people were killed in Southern Ukraine yesterday when clashes between pro-Kiev and pro-Russia protesters spread from the east following a government offensive against separatist rebels.".."Russia's foreign ministry called the deaths another manifestation of the criminal irresponsibility of the Kiev authorities.' Moscow accused Kiev of indulging radical nationalists, including the Right Sector' who were organizing physical terror campaigns against supporters of federalization.'"..
Arseniy Yatseniuk, the interim prime minister, told the Financial Times on Thursday of the risks of undertaking a very tough operation' that could lead to civilian casualties and provoke a Russian military response." Yatseniuk's ambivalence and recognition of the risks and potential consequences of Kiev's military punitive actions reveals his own trepidation about Kiev's military onslaught, and suggests that this military action was being imposed upon him by his bosses.
The US/Nato delegations at the UN Security Council quickly forgot about the Odessa massacre, following perfunctory calls for an "investigation" of those Kiev inflicted atrocities, and while repeating, ad nauseum, calls for accountability, covered up their own complicity and guilt in orchestrating this disastrous civil war in Ukraine, falsifying reality, and projecting onto Russia responsibility for their own criminal activities, which they, themselves had been committing since October, 2013.
Kiev's military onslaught continued unabated, bombing city after city in Eastern Ukraine; on July 15 the Associated Press reported: "The bombing in the rebel-held town of Snizhne demonstrated how airstrikes and heavy rocket fire are becoming increasingly common as the conflict drags into its fourth month. The devastation in Snizne bore signs of a strike by several missiles and left only a mountain of smoking debris. An airstrike in Eastern Ukraine sent an apartment building crumbling to the ground Tuesday, killing at least 11 people, and adding to the steadily mounting civilian death toll from the fighting between government forces and pro-Russian insurgents…Many local citizens saw the plane that dropped the bomb it had Ukranian markings."
It is reasonable to suspect that the US/Nato forces are encouraging Kiev's military onslaught, which now involves war crimes, in order to ultimately provoke Russian President Putin to an invasion, which will bleed the Russian economy, demoralize the Russian people, and cause a bloodbath of Russian and Ukranians, an internecine war destroying Ukraine and crippling Russia in much the same way that the Soviet Union was crippled by the violent jihadist provocations in Afghanistan in the late 1970's and 1980's. Those U.S. sponsored jihadist provocations led to the Soviet invasion of Afghanistan, an invasion which so devastated the Soviet Union that it was a significant factor in the collapse of that once great superpower. Considering that Obama's mentor, Brzezinski suffers from acute Russophobia, the possibility cannot be excluded that the goal of the West's geopolitical engineering in Ukraine is precisely to provoke a Russian invasion. Hence, the paranoid demonization of Putin, upon whom the west is projecting its own aggressive designs.
In his famous interview with "Le Nouvel Observateur," Brzezinski stated:
"According to the official version of history, CIA aid to the mujahideen began during 1980, that is to say, after the Soviet Army invaded Afghanistan on December 24, 1979. But the reality, secretly guarded until now, is completely otherwise. Indeed it was July 3, 1979 that President Carter signed the first directive for secret aid to the opponents of the pro-Soviet regime in Kabul. And that very day I wrote a note to the president in which I explained to him in my opinion this aid was going to induce a Soviet military intervention."
As described by Robert Dreyfuss in "Devil's Game," in that interview Brzezinski admitted that his intention all along was to provoke a Soviet invasion even though after the Soviet action occurred, U.S. officials expressed shock and surprise. "We didn't push the Russians to intervene, but we knowingly increased the probability that they would," he stated.
With commendable restraint, and a desire to save his country, and the world from a war which could engulf the entire planet in a mushroom cloud, Putin has resisted invading Ukraine. When, in the last century Soviet missiles appeared in Cuba, 90 miles from Florida, US President Kennedy did not hesitate to threaten nuclear strikes to compel the withdrawal of the Soviet weapons from Cuba, which Kruschev immediately expedited. Today, with NATO bases and missile defense systems now surrounding Russia and threatening the very heartland of that country with comparable weapons capable of obliterating the Russian Federation, it is preposterous to expect Putin not to defend his nation as vigilantly and vigorously as President Kennedy did his own country more than a half century ago, during the Cuban missile crisis.
One listens, with incredulity, as the U.S. Ambassador states, at the August 28, 2014 Security council emergency meeting: "Instead of listening, instead of heeding the demands of the international community and the rules of the international order, at every step Russia has come before this council to say everything except the truth. It has manipulated, it has obfuscated, it has outright lied. So we have learned to measure Russia by its actions, not by its words." The U.S. Ambassador's remarks are a flagrant and paranoid projection of the egregious manipulation, obfuscation and outright lies with which US/NATO, in violation of all the rules of the international order, has engineered and manipulated the destabilization of Ukraine, the violent overthrow of Ukraine's democratically elected government, and annexed the junta in Kiev to NATO, imposing the brutal yoke of the IMF "austerity measures" upon the Ukranian people. The gruesome consequences of the manipulations and outright lies with which US/NATO camouflaged its annexation of the ruling junta in Kiev, was described at the emergency session of the UN Security Council on August 2, 2014, by Mr. John Ging, Director of the Coordination and Response Division of the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs: "Ongoing efforts to find a political solution to the crisis in Ukraine have borne little fruit. Therefore, insecurity and violence prevail in conflict areas, resulting in a steadily worsening humanitarian situation, which will continue to deteriorate for as long as violence persists."
"An estimated 3.9 million people live in areas directly affected by violence. Those remaining in the conflict zone face imminent security threats from the fighting, which is increasingly occurring in more-densely populated urban areas. Fighting has caused significant damage to infrastructure, affecting the power and water supply and access to basic services. In Donetsk and Luhansk, home to a total of 1.5 million people, the water supply is reduced to a few hours per day. Health supplies are running low and an estimated 70 per cent of health personnel have fled the area, leaving access to medical care significantly reduced. Damage to housing has so far affected 1,600 families. Supply routes are increasingly disrupted by conflict, and coping mechanisms among the affected populations are inevitably deterorating."
"As conflict intensifies, casualties are on the rise. The human rights monitoring mission of the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights and the World Health Organization report that at least 1,367 people, both civilians and combatants, have been killed and 4,067 people have been wounded by the fighting in Eastern Ukraine since mid-April…Today there are 117,910 people registered as internally displaced throughout Ukraine, 87 per cent of whom are from the east of the country. Most have left with few belongings and are in need of shelter, food and other essential assistance. At the same time, many people from areas affected by fighting in the Donetsk and Luhansk regions are fleeing to the Russian Federation. Since the start of the year, 168,677 Ukranians have registered as having crossed into the Russian Federation, with nearly 60,000 having applied for refugee status and a further 115,952 having applied for other forms of legal stay. …The Russian Federation is reporting that 740,000 people have crossed their borders since the start of the year, availing themselves of the special 270 day visa programme for Ukranians. The United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees has also reported that figure."
"We call on the Ukranian Government to address some key challenges in implementing relief activities….We request the Ukranian Government to adopt a temporary exemption to facilitate the import of medical supplies certified by the World Health Organization….In conclusion, the humanitarian situation is deteriorating, and the worrying increase in violence in urban areas puts a greater number of people at risk. Until the violence has ended we will continue to see an increase in the numbers of people being killed and a deterioration of the overall humanitarian situation."
The Russian Ambassador further described this catastrophic situation: "On a human scale, the situation in the east, particularly in Donetsk and Luhansk, is disastrous. Today there is a definite need to speak about a true war. The International Committee of the Red Cross has officially recognized that there is an internal armed conflict in the east of Ukraine…Overflights of cities have become a daily reality. Artillery, tanks and Grad rockets are used. Locals are continuously reporting that phosphorous bombs and cluster bombs are being used. There is indiscriminate shelling of housing blocks and critical civilian infrastructure. In many small towns, about 80 per cent of the houses have been destroyed. According to most conservative estimates, more than 600 buildings have been reduced to rubble. Today there was a rocket attack in Shakhtyorsk. On 2 August, Ukranian artillery shelled the city of Pervamaisk, where homes, two electrical power plants and hospitals were destroyed. As a result of shelling by the Ukranian armed forces, shells have been falling into Russia. There have been about 20 such incidents. On 3 August, a Ukranian army mine exploded at the Gukovo crossing, Rostov oblast, where monitors from the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe were working….More than 4 million people live in the areas where military operations are taking place. Of them, more than 200,000 have been left without drinking water. There is a critical health and epidemiological situation in Luhansk. Houses are without electricity and, because of shelling, there is no clean water. Telephone communications are impared and there are no garbage removal services. ..Almost 800,000 Ukranians have come to Russia since the beginning of the crisis…"
"Russia calls upon the international community to take emergency measures to improve the humanitarian situation in the east of Ukraine. Because of that, on 4 August, Russian Minister for Foreign Affairs, Mr. Sergey Lavrov, once again sent an official appeal to humanitarian agencies associated with the United Nations, the OSCE, the Council of Europe and the International Committee of the Red Cross to create a humanitarian mission. We would like to send a convoy with Russian humanitarian assistance under the aegis and with the support of the ICRC to Donetsk and Luhansk and other areas of Ukraine where internally displaced persons from the east are concentrated… Finally, Kiev's approach of violently repressing the eastern regions will have very difficult consequences for the entire Ukranian population, and that is simply regrettable."
September 5, 2014, a Statement was issued on behalf of UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon: "The Secretary-General welcomes the positive news that today's consultations between the Contact Group and representatives of armed groups have resulted in the agreement of a cease-fire. He also welcomes the recent discussions between the Presidents of Ukraine and Russia which have played a part in today's breakthrough and strongly encourages those contacts to continue." By September 7, 2014, two days later, many have expressed skepticism that this cease-fire will last.
Fratricidal war between Ukraine and Russia is unthinkable, leading to destruction of both Ukraine and Russia, but with US/NATO manipulating and inciting their proxies in Kiev to escalate provocations against Russia, such a war may ultimately be inevitable. The consequences would very likely lead to a nuclear holocaust. Those who would engineer such a war can only be described as clinically insane.
