Has anyone else noticed media commentators expressing shock and dismay over the recent "SS drunk driving" scandal, and acting as though this never happened back in the "good old days"? Apparently there is a blissful unawareness of the agents out drinking in Ft Worth the night before JFK was killed, or the events described in Abraham Bolden's book.

Yeah, and remember the gun-toting "crazies" that managed to bypass security and run through the WH awhile back? And the SS prostitution thing in Columbia?
When you have eliminated the impossible, whatever remains, however improbable, must be the truth.

I like to think this is happening because of an innate sense of awareness that their own guys helped kill Kennedy.
Some might call it "Survivor's Guilt".

But those are all part of the recent events, the "current troubles" with the SS. On MSNBC last nite, there was a lot of hand-wringing and misty-eyed talk about the "old days" when honorable professionals always did their jobs right.
