U.S. Releases 6-Page Report on Lee Harvey Oswald in Russa!
#11
1974.

I read Peter's entire 1977 Wannall interview. It is basically the set-up to make it look like FBI suppressed evidence of Bobby Kennedy trying to assassinate Castro because it triggered Castro's successful assassination of Kennedy in response. All contrived bs of course in order to throw the public and HSCA off the real evidence.

I guess what Peter is suggesting is the redacted text of the document shown by Hargrove details the Morgan information. FBI's alleged reason for blacking-out the entire text would be because it details their knowledge of and avoidance of the Cuban factor.

Thanks, Albert.

It's curious, though, that this topic would appear in a memo with the subject: "Lee Harvey Oswald; Internal Security--Russia." And even more curious is this ....

The six pages of redactions are reproduced several times in the "FBI Cover-Up" tab of Box 1 Notebook 2 in the John Armstrong collection at Baylor. Between two of those sets is the memo below, also to W.R. Wannall. Note that the first non-redacted sentence begins, "If there were some question about the identity of Oswald it would seem this question would have been raised by Oswald's mother...."

I see what you mean. So maybe the 1974 Wannall document was discussing an impostor being used for Oswald in Russia. Its dangerousness then caused the whole document to be redacted.

I dunno, but my bet is if the document is ever released without the redactions, it will be so sanitized it will be a mystery why it was ever hidden in the first place.
