Oh, very good, I like that.
"Brick maker" = a builder, and "builder" is the name freemasons use to describe their order, I believe.

Sounds like he was speaking from experience doesn't it, Pete...

Sounds like he was speaking from experience doesn't it, Pete... It does. I have no idea about his life and what contacts he had, but he seems to have gotten some 'education' in things 'deep' - not usually known by those who make films in the USA. I think very few people have viewed his last film...it is a bit obscure and a 'disappointment' for anyone hoping to see a continuation or even something along the lines of 2001 - or any of his earlier films.

I have read that he had an iron clad contract with Warner Bros for full editorial control over EWS, and that Warner's had agreed not to edit or change it one iota under that contract. According to the piece I read, once he was dead this contract ended and Warner removed some unidentified scenes.
I don't know if this is some BS conspiracy theory put out or if it has some truth to it.

Quote:Kubrick completed his final cut of "Eyes Wide Shut" in March 1999. Within the first several days of the month, the film was viewed by the key actors involved, some of Kubrick's friends and family, and certain Warner Brother executives. Kubrick died days later, on the 7th March. It is widely claimed that the "Kubrick cut" of March 1999 was almost an hour longer in length than the publically released film. The cut material also allegedly included dream-like sequences of a mind-bending, reality-distorting nature. Why was this material removed from the film? The myriad of continuity errors, particularly the pool room scene, indicate heavy editing that is inconsistent with Kubrick's style and standard. Kubrick loved to edit his films with meticulous precision. "Editing is the only aspect of the cinematic art that is unique. It shares no connection with any other art form: writing, acting, photography, things that are major aspects of the cinema, is still not unique to it, but editing is." Kubrick's "final" edit was witnessed (and approved by Warner Bros.) and seemingly differs dramatically from the released film. Why? http://www.visual-memory.co.uk/faq/index4.html
Ironically, Kubrick's contract with Warner Bros. stated that "Eyes Wide Shut" was to be released on July 6th 1999, exactly thirty years to the day of the Apollo 11 "landing". Is it possible that the claims of his involvement with the Apollo

Has anyone yet mentioned the fact that Tom Cruise, the lead actor,is a high degree Scientologist? And,I think Scientology also has connections to OTO,through L. Ron Hubbard.Which begs the question...Why did Kubrick choose Tom Cruise to star in this movie???

Several years ago I did a lot of research on Scientology and was horrified. It's an extremely dangerous cult. And thanks to several former high ranking members who have written books, the truth is getting out there.
Kidman and Cruise divorced so that she could get free of them. Same with Katy Holmes.
On a different note: Remote viewing, a Scientology tool. If it works why haven't those guys found the missing plane. Just sayin'

Yes Keith, I was aware of that thanks.
In fact there are some older threads on the forum where both these aspects have been discussed (Cruise as top Scientoloigist, and Hubbard as a member of the O.T.O. and occult buddy of Jack Parsons). Hubbard also, according to his son, received the entire very nasty occult secrets of the Nazi Thule Gesellschaft too, after WWII.
Crowley was initiated into Scottish Rite Freemasonry in Mexico City in June 1900 by an "irregular" Lodge. Furthermore, Crowley's O.T.O. was authorised by the German mason Theodor Reuss, who had access to a significant Celtic Grimoire on the occult, a manuscript called The Book of Secret Knowledge - that later passed on to Rudolf von Sebottendorff, who founded the Thule Society. It is believed this same Celtic manuscript was acquired by the Knights Templars.
When Rudolf Hess flew to Scotland in 1941, he had a copy of this book that he planned to give to the Duke of Hamilton as a gesture go goodwill. The book ended up in the possession of the Occult Division of Her majesty's Security Service - which is poetic when you realise that England;s secret service was originally devised in the mid 1500's by Dr. John Dee, a magician of some renown, who's secret sigil was 007.
The poetry I mention above is the fact that that very same book had once been owned by none other than Dee himself, but was stolen, possibly by his associate Edward Kelly who ended up living in Bohemia - what is now called the Czech Republic.
It's a small world isn't it.

Okay, when I first read this,I was only thinking in the sense of "political" or "financial" power, etc. Now I view this quote to be as in, "occult" power.

Apparently his daughter became a Scientologist and that caused him a great deal of anxiety...
