Coup Underway in Turkey
#21
Pat Lang calls it an inside job.

Quote:From what I am hearing from sources in Turkey, this may have been a pre-emptive "false flag" operation in which a group of members of the armed forces were sent into the fraudulent "coup" by Erdogan loyalists among senior officers. He has appointed many. IOW the people in the "coup" may have been deliberately sacrificed as "props" so that Erdogan could whip up his followers and consolidate power before he changes the constitution to make himself an absolute ruler. pl [/FONT]

Indeed.

Obama followed the War Party script to a T in Ukraine and Libya -- but not in Syria or Iran.

All Presidents knuckle under to the National Security State -- but Obama out-maneuvered them in Syria and Iran.

The top rationale for War Against the Shia -- chemical weapons and nukes -- have been removed.

Erdogan holding Incirlik airbase and 50 US tactical nukes hostage in return for Fethulleh Gulen. http://www.waynemadsenreport.com

Is this still the case? Did I hear the base was re-opened? And if it is re-opened does that mean it is still not hostage?

And for that we really do need to be grateful for the one bit of sanity from the otherwise custerfluck of the Obama administration.
It really could be worse.

The roll-back of NSA/DEA storing our phone calls, texts and e-mails...very good.

The opening with Cuba is excellent.

RT is reporting this morning that Erdogan has grounded all US aircraft flying out of Incirlik and also reports that power has been shut off from the base too. Their report says that if Gulen was behind or involved in the coup, then the US must have green-lighted it.

Earlier in the week, news clips of Erdogan being snubbed by all the other delegate as the recent NATO meeting suggested to me that the US no longer favoured him. He really did look a lonely figure there. His formal letter to Putin apologising for the shoot down of the Russian aircraft would also cause US to cringe.
The shadow is a moral problem that challenges the whole ego-personality, for no one can become conscious of the shadow without considerable moral effort. To become conscious of it involves recognizing the dark aspects of the personality as present and real. This act is the essential condition for any kind of self-knowledge.

Interesting situation: by treaty each NATO member must come to the military aide of any other under attack...but what if one NATO member openly or secretly attacks [or aides in an attack of] another?! This is not going to end soon...nor I think very neatly. This is Deep Political intrigue at its best [worst]. Expect the supplies of Turkish taffy to dry up and the spot market on it hit the roof! The US will NOT put up with anyone messing around with one of their bases.......not for a minute! Erdogan is playing with fire. If the US has secretly decided to remove him, he may not exit stage right just yet...but would sooner rather than later under some secret action and/or dirty trick. He's a bastard, but the US had no right to be meddling in other countries business - though that is our history...if not our credo.

Turkey still hasn't requested Gulen's extradition according to US State Department.
