She is now saying the JFK case is full of KGB disinfo.

The early KGB disinfo was Nosenko saying the USSR had no interest in Oswald. Russell documented in the TMWKTM that RC Nagell was hired by Soviet intelligence to penetrate the assassination attempt and to stop it. Later, another KGM man came and wrote a book and spoke at November conferences also stating the same phony information on lack of Soviet files and interest in Oswald. It is not believable - nor is that KGB disinformation or participation in the assassination ever took place. It was an American plot / internal coup d'etat and cover-up [to be falsely blamed on the USSR and Cuba] and no one would know that better than the Paines. What it is full of is CIA, FBI, SS, DOJ, Warren Commission, JCOS, MSM, US Military / MI, and other all-American disinformation.

I used to deliver the Press Democrat. Glad to see it's still around.

All the rage again. Clearly the KGB were in control of the US media.

"He would, wouldn't he?" Mandy Rice-Davies. When asked in court whether she knew that Lord Astor had denied having sex with her.

Putin is clearly like a Smith from the Matrix trilogy. They're everywhere. In fact, I just saw a Putin in a tree watching me with binoculars. Honest.

I know the reporter does not write the headline but let's start there:

Finding strange bedfellows among JFK conspiracy fans

Note the use of the word "fan" in conjunction with the word "conspiracy" to belittle the notion that a conspiracy could have existed or that serious, credible research has established a much stronger foundation for the existence of a conspiracy to assassinate Kennedy than the government has established for the Oswald and only Oswald did it argument. The headline creates the impression (probably intended) that anyone subscribing to the conspiracy theory of the crime is nothing more than a "fan" not a serious researcher or an interested citizen who has studied the work of serious researchers.

Next we have this quote:

Quote:The Quaker and retired teacher said she'd hoped it would have become evident long ago, certainly to open and analytical minds, "that Oswald did it."

Its fine to report Paine's opinion but even a short article could at least acknowledge the watered down conclusion of the HSCA that a conspiracy probably existed or that serious doubts about Oswald's guilt have been raised since the release of the WC report and have not been effectively rebutted by official sources.

Moving on:

Quote:Paine, then a young mother of two, allowed Oswald into her home in the Dallas suburb of Irving. She had befriended and was trying to be helpful to Oswald's Russian wife, Marina.

As if that was all there was to it. How had Paine encountered the Oswalds? Why had she gotten so involved in their lives? There's lots of credible evidence that this was not just coincidence or happenstance but I guess puff pieces don't need to ask too many questions.

Quote:Even on the night before President Kennedy was shot in a motorcade, the same night Paine discovered that Oswald had gone into her garage for some reason, she had no reason to believe he was a potential killer. She realized later that he'd gone into the garage to retrieve something he'd hidden there: a rifle.

Unbelievable. How can she possibly know that? Even without acknowledging all of the evidence calling into question whether Oswald actually purchased or otherwise possessed the MC rifle alleged to have been the murder weapon or if that rifle was actually the murder weapon, this statement is nothing more than supposition by Paine unless she actually witnessed Oswald retrieving a rifle from the garage.

Then we have this gem:

Quote:Paine saw a fair amount of Oswald in 1963 and she cites several reasons for believing that he planned the assassination abruptly and he acted alone.

OK, how about naming one? Or acknowledging that neither the DPD nor the WC could establish a motive for Oswald to assassinate Kennedy? Those guys must have been dumber than I thought. They wasted all that time, effort and taxpayer money and couldn't establish a motive when all they had to do was ask Ruth Paine!

Finally (good - I couldn't really stomach any more):

Quote:She holds that for liberal-minded people to subscribe to who-killed-JFK narratives is especially regrettable because she accepts the assertion that five decades ago the Soviet Union's KGB security agency fueled conspiracy mongering by spreading misinformation that implicated the CIA in the assassination.

I guess the CIA-fueled conspiracy mongering trying to implicate Castro and the KGB in the assassination didn't bother her (or the reporter). And since the article acknowledges that her belief is merely an "assertion" they should have asked her (and printed) why she believes it. Not to mention that we don't really need KGB disinformation to implicate the CIA in the assassination - there's enough actual information implicating CIA officers and operatives in the crime thank you very much.

Hello, fellow "liberals".
Why don't we just abduct her, and take her out in the forest, and torture her to death. She's old anyway. Maybe we could get some info out of her that way? The CIA way of doing it...
Sorry, just had to say it...

Having said it even in jest may just have put you on a US Homeland Security Watch List....the 'Empire' doesn't fool around nor enjoy levity about its National Security [sic] matters and persons.

Being a poster on this forum, and especially this and relative JFK Assassination discussions, for clarification I do not know to whom O Austrud is addressing with the suggestion as expressed, and I do not condone said suggestion.

I think he is trying to be funny by caricaturing Ruth's pre-emptive strike against the "liberal Max Good", and the "liberal friends" in his movie.

But what may be happening is that Ruth Paine is not nearly as liberal as she made herself out to be.

BTW, the guy who wrote the article has now written about five of these, each time giving Ruthie free rein to express any half baked view of her and the JFK case she wishes. He has never gotten in contact with Max Good at all.
