Yes, but years ago, when he asked I mail him a book, he gave me his real name and asked that I never release it, I honored my promise to him, I never did. So, I can say yes, I know it, but no, I cannot release it, hope that helps.

He or She seems to have a webpage: http://www.jfksouthknollgunman.com/index.php/9-2/
I'm always interested in the South Knoll, as I KNOW there were active conspirators there - whether a shot was fired from there or not I'm agnostic. I think it was likely, but not proven. People within the loop with communication devices and watching and signalling from there - I'm sure. A shot from the West end of the parking lot or beginning of train track wall - maybe to very possible.

To me, it looks like it might be Plumlee or someone he knows or someone who likes his version of events. For the record, I spent many years with Plumlee [and Marrs] working on Plumlee's story/life and writing a book about his life. It never happened as Plumlee pulled out and said if we went ahead he'd deny all he had told us were lies he never told us......long story I won't go into. I still am in contact with Tosh, but he keeps it to polite nothings for the most part now....nothing of substance, sadly. He once did.....he once tried [at least] part way to tell me his 'truth'...now he doesn't even try beyond a certain set script which he won't answer questions about, entertain obvious flaws and challenges about, etc. He is no longer dedicated to the truth, if he ever was....sadly. I do, however, believe he was there and was a CIA pilot/operative just as he says. Much of his 'set story' is correct - other parts I am not convinced of or have partial contradictory information about, which he won't even deal with - let alone discuss and try to refute logically. Tosh, if you are reading this, the thing that hurts your credibility most, IMHO, is your refusal to engage with researchers and challenges to your story.....Truth is truth and no one is obligated to believe something [with alternate stories that contradict portions] without dealing with legitimate queries from legit researchers meaning you no harm and only trying to approach the truth of the matter.

Tosh is a good man, it was an honor tracking him down and talking to him on the phone. I've listened to a tape I recorded with him telling me about my father. I will admit, I was a bit skeptical at first, but as our conversation went on he told me about a friend of his who had a sick monkey, and I knew then he knew my father, because my father had brought home a monkey that was sick, my father gave that monkey away after my mother got after him but not before the monkey had a seizure in our backyard. He mentioned the St. Christopher metal chain my father wore around his neck, and it was those and a few more little tidbits that Tosh pointed out, no doubt they knew and worked with each other.

Tosh may not give you the whole story, and it seems to me he likes to share in what he knows with bits and pieces before making any transitions to that information that completes a story, you just have to follow what it is he's saying very closely, or you will miss the point he's making, that is what I get from him when we communicated, other than that, I just wanted to say thanks Tosh for sharing your story about my father, and the ops ya'll did together, it honestly made me cry hearing about the men who have / had respect for each other.

I'm sorry Mark, but I'm not following you, are you saying that Tosh and my father didn't work or know each other? Are you saying that my father didn't work with anyone in the anti-Castro community? I'm really not following you, but most importantly, I'm not sure what Judyth Baker has to do with any of this, are you asking whether or not my father worked with her? I can emphatically deny that!

Hi there, Xxxxxxx

Saw your post on the Ed. Forum, where you inquired about Tosh Plumlee….Hope this helps you in your quest to get in touch with him.

Alan

Email exchange ends...

Given that Mr. Marrs (RIP), Mr. Lemkin, etc. al are all astute researchers not so easily fooled, it's understandable why Mr. Plumlee may have backed out on insulting their intelligence any further when they pressed for specific details, if that was indeed why he abruptly halted his collaboration with them. Moreover, Mr. O'Blazney's timely reference to, and the actual reading of Whelton's piece is just cause for proceeding with caution akin to Ronald Reagan's trust but verify.

The relevance of the email exchange above was to pinpoint a time when I had the means to contact Mr. Plumlee, and sought to pursue a Q & A with him. As was/is his right it fell upon deaf ears or a very busy person with more important things to do. I personally wish him well, albeit with a guarded stance-wary of "a limited hangout" ploy. A healthy & Happy New Year to you, Mr. Plumlee, if you are indeed reading along, but please be mindful that a genuine abort team springing into action to prevent an assassination upon a sitting US President would have done the following things that afternoon:

*Walked directly across from your stated position on the South Knoll sir, brandishing weapons out in the open as you, Rojas, etc al crossed Main Street over onto the grass, then walked further towards Elm Street, then stood directly in the middle of Elm Street, flashed your fancy Agency abort team credentials for the local authorities to see (Such an action sir would have halted the presidential procession loooong before it ever would have ventured into an awaiting ambush in Dealey Plaza). That prudent course of action did not happen. Why?

[/FONT]Just finding it rather difficult to believe that Barney Fife could have done a much better job than a genuine Agency abort team. [/FONT]

Just a few comments. Tosh Plumlee is not hard to contact - he maintains a Facebook page now, but as far as I am aware will not engage on any Forum nor really answer much in private email conversations unless it is NOT about Dallas and related. He would say [from my long experience with him] of the above comment that the Team was told to keep their presence secret in the Plaza [and to somehow do their mission secretly but in plain sight]. Further, that 'something(s)' went wrong and by the time it was realized what was going down, it was too late to intervene. He might also add that he was not supposed to be operational, he was the co-pilot of the flights in and out and had tagged along because he wanted to see JFK. This is basically his [oversimplified] story. There is the logical problem mentioned above, and there is further a big problem with the telling of what happened at Redbird Airport, as Plumlee's story doesn't match that of the sworn affidavit of the Airport's manager [obtained by a reputable researcher under the condition it not be released until both the manager and his wife were dead - which has now occurred]. I have asked innumerable times for Tosh to reconcile the two versions, as they do not fit at all and can not be reconciled - either one happened or the other did, not both! He has never, to my thinking, even tried to reconcile them, and only gets angry and defensive when I have asked [for about two decades]. Without getting into all the minute details of his version and my research on it, I find perhaps the most irreconcilable matter are some of the persons who were on the flight. Some he has publicly named, and one he has only told me and a few others and not publicly named. These are not persons, from my understanding of the case, who would have been inclined to abort an assassination - but would have been inclined to help carry out or assist in the events. Tosh names Rosselli on the flight and the other who he has not publicly named, but has told me, is even a bigger name than that - by far. Add to that the persons who sent the Team on its merry way and these are persons who are questionable in their fidelity to JFK, at that point in history. Lastly, in his telling, he alone on the Team questions what went wrong and what the f*** he just witnessed went down [although he interprets their extreme silence afterwards as having failed in their mission], and is put in prison on a trumped up charge and given an indeterminate sentence; his 'parole officer' really a CIA guy, tells him he won't get out until they feel he will stop talking about Dallas and questioning the matter.

That said, Plumlee's telling of other events in his life are, as far as I can tell, the truth - and parts of his telling of the events of Dallas as he 'knows' them, are likely true - while other and very significant parts are highly questionable, to be polite. It is his unwillingness to engage with qualified researchers on the questionable parts that made a book, as contracted, on his life and work in covert operations, fall apart - along with his withdrawal at a crucial stage.

I for one do not dismiss his story in its entirety, and have struggled over more than two decades to make full sense of it. Many do not know of Tom Wilson's work on the events in the Plaza using photonics and his supercomputer he had in his garage - but Tom worked on images I gave him of men on the South Knoll along with other 'standard' photos from that day in Dallas and concluded that there were two operational men in the shade of a tree on the S. Knoll where Plumlee stated. Further he found that they had operational equipment on them that matched that of others near TUM/DSM and some behind the fence on the Knoll and elsewhere in the Plaza - universally believed to have been part of the hit and/or diversion/communications Team. How to reconcile that they all had the same equipment unless the entity that sent them had two factions at war with each other that day? Tom [very naively] gave a huge summary of his work, filling several bankers boxes, to a top FBI official who flew to a distant city to pick it up. To this day, the FBI denies they ever got anything from Tom Wilson - yet there is a lawyer who I know personally who is witness to all this, as fact. The working materials of Tom Wilson are still extant. I know where they are and who has custody of them, but the family has thus far refused to allow other researchers to access them. I have proposed to them they put the originals in an archive. I find them interesting in their own right, and perhaps some of the best work on the Plumlee story, along with the research Marrs and I did - which remain unpublished.

I could go on and on and on...but will leave it at this. In the end, Plumlee and his story and motive for telling it remain an enigma - and sadly have to be questioned unless and until he is willing to reconcile certain obvious contradictions with other known or generally agreed upon facts.
