Just Was Removed By Walker On Other Forum
#61
Yes, the lady in question also sent me an email and it was as I always said it was - and she agreed - much ado about nothing. However, in the fairness that goes on there they deleted my threads attempting to clear my good name BUT have allowed Len and others to start threads [asking all to add their names] for a call for me to get 'help'. David, maybe you are right....that really crosses the line....deleting attempts to be heard and clear my name and allowing continued abuse and defamation....They really do keep up the highest of ethical standards and evenhandedness. :vollkommenauf:

I'm sure Jan and a few others here would like this thread here to disappear too....I'd ask they let it play itself out. This will be over soon. Besides it has some of the best comedy on this forum...along with the tragedy - likely a blessing in disguise.

Peter this is not true and you know it.

Lets have this be the last of this on this Forum between you and I. You advertised a mistake I made most would not have noticed and skewed the vote, as well as mocking my thread with your post on it. If you want to do some reparation remove Len's thread about me [an ad hom and further denigration of my character, disguised as sympathy] and all like it. If you have more to say, do it in an email not here. Over and out. No more. Please. :hello:

God, when this is all over I'll be ready for a holiday in Turkey. I must ask my friends there if they can have me stay over. I suppose Turkey is not your favorite place though Peter. Too much Byzantine bull shit. :elefant:

I'd be MOST appreciative if someone who downloaded that thread would send me a copy. I can get large attachments, if too big, it can be put on a large file service for download. I guess Andy Warhol was correct and these are my ten minutes of infamy.....though it sure seems much longer than ten minutes....more like ten years. Now I know how it feels to be dragged behind a fast moving car in the mud until one is just about dead and my reputation long dead over there....and throughout cyberspace.

The Lemkin threads in which the charges of harassment were made have disappeared down the memory (mammary?) hole.

A Stalin-Simmo classic if ever there were one.

The fear of a libel suit over there is palpable.

But the game is yet afoot: The leading known disinformation entity has asked that they be returned to full view.

Ya gotta love it.

Pete, fyi many years ago I had a sit down with Alisdair Pepper at Carter Ruck when I was asked by the Coop Bank (then their lawyer) to assist them in litigation against my old bank on arms trade issues. He's No2 partner there, but defamation is not his thing. That speciality is handled by Andrew Stephenson:

Quote:[Image: 1.jpg]Andrew, a law graduate of University College London, worked for two years at the Stock Exchange before joining the firm in 1982, becoming a partner in 1986.

Andrew's main area of practice is defamation, with over twenty years' experience acting both for claimants (including Government Ministers, Members of Parliament of all the main political parties and sports and music personalities) and for defendants including book, magazine and newspaper publishers and television companies.

Early in his legal career Andrew conducted the successful defence of criminal proceedings where charges had been brought under the Official Secrets Act. In 1987 he represented Martin Packard, a former British Naval Officer, who was awarded £450,000 damages for libel, a record at the time.

Andrew acted for Norman Tebbit, as Chairman of the Conservative Party, in libel proceedings against the Guardian. He also successfully defended Lord Tebbit when he was sued by the then Leader of Derbyshire County Council. Andrew acted for Norman Lamont when he was Chancellor of the Exchequer in high profile landlord and tenant proceedings.

Andrew has advised Boris Berezovsky in several cases, including an action brought against the Chairman of Alfa Bank, Mikhail Fridman. He also acted for Mr Berezovsky when the Russian government twice sought his extradition from the UK. Andrew also represented Mohammed Jameel against Wall Street Journal Europe.

Andrew has handled numerous leading defamation cases where jurisdiction has been an issue, including Papandreou -v- Time Magazine, Bachchan -v- Dagens Nyheter (Swedish publication), Schapira -v- Ha'aretz (Israeli publication) and Berezovsky -v- Forbes, in which the House of Lords upheld the Russian businessman's right to proceed in England against the US publishers.

Andrew has frequently been consulted to give pre-publication advice on defamation and privacy issues for national and international publications. He also has considerable experience in advising individuals and corporations in handling intrusive or hostile media interest, and advising on reputational issues arising from governmental inquiries and investigations.
The shadow is a moral problem that challenges the whole ego-personality, for no one can become conscious of the shadow without considerable moral effort. To become conscious of it involves recognizing the dark aspects of the personality as present and real. This act is the essential condition for any kind of self-knowledge.

Peter,

Don't hesitate for a nanosecond!

Talk to this man. You HAVE been defamed.

And now you have that rarest of opportunities: the chance to strike at the belly of the beast.

Remember Dr. Crenshaw and his suit against JAMA?

Make it count, baby!

A fine person sent me some screen captures from the zoo.
B had posted that I couldn't even look at the animals in the zoo, as my IP was blocked.
C Golfer said it was absolutely not true - my imagination or lie.

[Anyone ever experience something similar?! [rhetorical question!] :joyman:

D Posted the question: 'Have you NO shame here?!?!'
E Attacks are allowed to continue.
F [how appropriate a letter!] humanoid from S.A. started a thread for those to pour their calls for my seeking 'rehabilitation and help' or just to vent their spleen at me.
[F is up; my defense threads are apparently down.]
G posts question, "Hey, if he was innocent all the time, how come he lost his moderator position, was put on permanent moderation, briefly taken off, only to be banned and IP blocked?"
H hardly noticeable limited-modified-hangout partial semi demi retraction stating [surprise, surprise!] women in question states it is all a misunderstanding - no mention when such information was received. No apology or other remediation.
[That now also apparently down and only up for some hours.]
...and more...or less....:banghead:
