That's labeled "Anti-shouting feature' in the CP - I kid you not. It was set to 6, I've increased it to 10.
Briefly, if there are more than 10 consecutive capitals in a word, the initial letter remains capitalized and the rest are converted to lower case.
That's how its supposed to function anyway.
Shout  if it causes a problem.

Peter: Quit complaining, please. If you knew the time and effort that went into getting this forum back up you'd crap in your pants. I think you should be commending Madga Jan and Peter. David CD and I mostly responded to the hudreds of daily email. And I posted at the Swamp. Just our statement alone was days in in the making.

PLEASE! you totally mis-represent my posts. I am NOT complaining....just pointing out the little things I note that are not working correctly - trying to be HELPFUL. OK...I'll stop.....but I think it is your 'annoyance' setting that needs some adjustment. I have repeatedly appoligized and said how much work I know they have...... lock the thread....

I took it the way you say - and frankly it DOES help to have glitches pointed out too, else how are we to log them all.
I can also understand Dawn though. We've all worked our socks off and there have been occasions when things have got pretty fraught. It's too easy for that to translate ( or appear to translate) into snapping at others
Please keep the glitch reports coming. Can't promise to fix them all quickly - if at all - but it's good to know about them.

If you all there on the 'flight deck of the Enterprise' don't have Mr. Spock handly and would like, I and others can send noticed glitches etc. by PM, rather than on this thread. Let us know. I DO realize that you yourselves would eventually notice all yourselves, but I just thought that more eyes would help find them quicker. Of course there will be overlap and repetition. NONE was meant as a criticism!!!!! nor to push anyone to work harder or faster....it was just a 'to do' list for whenever. We are able to post again and can live without all our favorite 'extras'.....

No. I would like all the glitches to be listed here in a clear point form. We are slowly working our way through. The first thing to get sorted were the security issues. Now we are able to move on to functional and aesthetic concerns. But please list them in clear point form for each issue you findpcguru
We will list them in this board once they are resolved as well to let everyone know.

Charles...Thanks, but I followed those procedures exactly and nothing happens.
I will try again sometime, but it is an obvious flaw in the software, I believe.

With respect, I don't agree that is is "an obvious flaw in the software" - using flaw in the sense of something approaching a bug anyway. We have self-described techie-illiterates who have managed it OK, so even if it is less intuitive than before it is hardly a serious usability issue either. If fact, from memory I think the upload modus operandi on the old software was very similar.
I do agree that there is room for wide differences of opinion about the aesthetics of the new software, but functionally so far it has proved to be pretty robust. As stated elsewhere, we will address the aesthetics as soon as practicable after a still long list of annoying glitches.
It is just possible there is a configuration issue with your account. I can't promise to attend to it for a few days because I have a house full of visitor from today, but no doubt Magda will have a look
