Another example of FBI Falsification of Witness Accounts

The FBI report of Richard C. Dodd ( CE 1420 ) says that Dodd

"...did not look up and did not know where the shots came from."

But in this 1966 interview with Mark Lane, Dodd says that

"...we all...four saw the same thing---the shots--the smoke came from behind the hedge on the north side of the plaza."

Dodd also tells Lane in the video that he gave the FBI the SAME ACCOUNT when he was interviewed that he gave Lane in the video.

IOW, the FBI falsified what he told them----- and THAT brings the credibility of the entire written record into question.


Is there any wonder why the witness was never called to testify ?


You can believe what they said the witnesses said, or you can hear it from the witnesses themselves.

yes dodd is a good one, they did not call all the rrmen on the overpass, i am thinking only sam holland,? and he did give them a needed hard time, on the mark lane video witness tape you can see him spouting off about how they tried to change his info, they ran into a hornets nest, apparently, they did the same with and tried to with phil willis...and others, that spoke up, if it did not come from the tsbd then they did not want to hear it, broken record...thanks, good catch...best b..

In fact, if the FBI changed the direction, how do we know they did not change the number of shots reported by the witness also?

So, the various quotes we've heard that 'X number of people heard shots coming from the TSBD, whilst X heard them coming from the Grassy Knoll', could just as easily mean 'X number of witnesses were coerced into, ignorant of or acquiesced having their testimony changed, whilst X number of other witnesses remained adamant about the location of the shots, or proved too difficult for the FBI to persuade otherwise after the event'. I guess we shouldn't be surprised by any of this.

Jim, Might I suggest a bigger problem that all of this draws to question:

If the officials falsified what the witnesses said in the written record, how then can we believe ANY of the written record as it applies to either the murder of JFK, the assault on Gen. Walker or the murder J. D. Tippit ?

How can we possibly be sure that the physical evidence as presented by officialdom has not been as a result of manufacturing, tampering or substitution, if the written record has been falsified ?

Well Gil, you CANNOT COUNT ON THE WITNESS STATEMENTS FROM n.o. in his book, harold weisberg, lho in n.o gives an account of how the fbi agents would go off and interview people and listen to them, eventually getting back to their office late that day, or the next they would then sit and write out what perhaps ten or more witnesses had told them earlier that day or the day before, i forget how he put it but words to the effect, no damn way could they but they did,.thereabouts, could they possibley recall, let alone put the info down as they did and it be correct,also they had not completed their work in n.o but when they were notified to close down by hoover i do believe they did so immediately and the work was not finished nor completed, this also might be, mentioned by paris flammonde in his first book, though i am not positive right now...but it is within harold's positively..best b
