The alleged shooter, Jared Loughner, has his own Youtube page here, under the username 'Classitup10':

Full name as listed on the top of the page - JARED LEE LOUGHNER. Do many Youtubers add their middle name like this?

He has picked one video from elsewhere as a favorite, titled AMERICA: YOUR LAST MEMORY IN A TERRORIST.

He has uploaded three videos by himself, in order:

'HOW TO: MIND CONTROLLER'

He lists a variety of books as personal favorites.

I agree. Also the media is giving all three of his names...another of their MO's. I just saw a bit on tv and she is expected to recover but...many are critical. And the judge is dead.

I think we all need to start watching this closely.

I saw the surgeon say on TV that the Congresswoman was out of surgery and he had good confidence in her recovery.

There are unsubstantiated reports that Loughner is an Afghan vet. He was described by eyewitnesses as a young white man who looked like a "fringe character."

Palin issued a statement via Facebook (!!!!!):

Giffords had been named as a political campaign target for conservatives in November's elections by former Alaskan governor Sarah Palin for her strong support of Obama's reforms. Palin had published a "target map" on her website using images of gun sights to identify 20 House Democrats, including Giffords, for backing the new health care law.

Palin came under huge criticism again last night for her campaign and issued a statement via her Facebook page offering her "sincere condolences" to Giffords and her family.

For the record, at around 9pm London time, I heard a local Arizona network affiliate reporter tell BBC News 24 that the police had told him they were looking for a second gunman. He said this live on air (in an audio feed over rolling pictures of ambulances).

I have so far found no reference on TV breaking news or in online MSM pieces to a second gunman.

Gabrielle Giffords' father: 'The whole Tea Party were her enemies'

The father of shot American congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords has said that her political stance made her many enemies.

Miss Giffords, a Democrat congresswoman, was shot in the head during a public meeting in Tucson, Arizona.

A lone gunman, described by witnesses as being a white man in his late teens or early twenties, fired into a crowd gathered for a "Congress in your Corner" event outside a supermarket.

Her father Spencer Giffords, 75, wept when asked if his 40-year-old daughter had any enemies.

"Yeah," he told The New York Post. "The whole tea party."

Miss Giffords had been named in March as a political campaign target for conservatives in November's elections by former Alaska governor Sarah Palin for her strong support for the health reforms of President Barack Obama.

Mrs Palin had published a "target map" on her website using images of gun sights to identify 20 House Democrats, including Miss Giffords, for backing the new health care law.

The Democrat congresswoman was a target of conservative Republican campaigning for her enthusiastic backing of President Barack Obama's healthcare reforms and last year complained that her office in Tucson had been attacked by vandals.

Sarah Palin issued a statement shortly after the shooting.

"My sincere condolences are offered to the family of Rep. Gabrielle Giffords and the other victims of today's tragic shooting in Arizona," she said.

"On behalf of Todd and my family, we all pray for the victims and their families, and for peace and justice."

The congresswoman, who is Jewish, is a gun-owner and supporter of the right to bear arms. She was also a strong advocate of abortion rights.

She won re-election to her third term in Congress last year, beating off a challenge for a Republican candidate endorsed by the Tea Party.

Here we go with the 3 name thing again. And the perennial favorite 'Lee' is one of them. You Tube Channel and all, terribly convenient.

The first thing I thought when I heard it was in Arizona was the recent deaths from lack of health care. Just a couple of weeks ago I listened to a radio report about an Arizona politician, a woman, who had denied state medicare funds to a transplant patient who had managed to find a donor and had everything lined up but needed the funds for the actual operation. She said "No' and patient dies, transplant organ wasted, lives wasted, broken hearted people remain and heartless people in charge. There was another death 2 days ago in similar circumstances. That would drive many to murder.
