Yes Virginia, there was a lead car.

Many people don't know that there was a lead car in JFK's motorcade. I really didn't think about it until I came across thie photograph of Clint Hill climbing on the back of the limo with the lead car in the foreground. In the motorcade, the pilot car travelled 5-6 blocks ahead of the motocade. Then there were the police motorcyclists. Then the lead car which was 4-5 car lengths ahead of the president. The lead car was supposed to be the press car but was changed at the last minute. In Win Lawson't 2003 C-span interview he states twice that it was unprecedented to have secret service and police in the same car.

Win Lawson is the secret service agent who sat in the front seat driver's side in the lead car. He testified at the Warren Commission. Allen Dulles asked him if the limo passed the lead car and Win Lawson said no it had not. You can see from the attached photo that that statement is false.
Why is the lead car left out of so many pictures? In the Zapruder film it seems logical you would see the lead car first but it is cut out of the film. At the end of the film you see the back of the car briefly. On a movie film once I remember seeing the car from a distance turn down Elm Street. Then there's the 2 photos below of the lead car. Otherwise thel lead car is not seen.
In my previous post I talked about Police Chief Curry, Forest Sorrels, and Sheriff Bill Decker.
Curry's testimony: http://www.jfk-assassination.de/warren/wch/vol12/page28.php
Decker's testimony: http://www.jfk-assassination.de/warren/wch/vol12/page42.php
Sorrell's testimony: http://www.jfk-assassination.de/warren/wch/vol7/page345.php
Win Lawson: http://www.jfk-assassination.de/warren/wch/vol4/page317.php
Dallas Police Chief Jesse Curry was the driver of the lead car.
Dallas County Sheriff Bill Dekcer sat in the rear seat drivers side seat in the lead car.
Secret Service Agent stationed in Dallas Forrest Sorrels sat in the rear seat passenger side.

A few months ago i posted a film frame on another forum, showing the PILOT CAR
which was 4-5 blocks ahead of the motorcade.

It only appears in about 3-Frames of the film.

Lead car, yes...I know that. But a shooter in the lead car...I don't think so.

Jim, In the thread "Grassy Knoll=diversion" I gave you my reasoing why I thought the shooter was in the lead car. What is your reasoning that the shooter was not in the lead car?

I'd put the shooter in the lead car on the same level as the Greer turning around and shooting Kennedy with a handgun theory.

Oh by the way I re-read my email reply to you mate in the previous thread and I hope it didn't come across as to snarly I actually was in good cheer when I replied. So Namaste to you. I think you made some interesting points man-I didn't put it in.

But as for this stuff. Yeah this is the Greer theory a car up. The Sorrells hitchhiker is one that will live long in the memory.

Jim's an experienced hunter he knows guns and has a good understanding of the case thats two good reasons. There's tons more. Betty not even the worst researchers I can think of (and trust me there's some heinous ones lurking around). Have ever said anything like this. Nor do I think that any of the ones I can think of would buy this. It's almost so bad that I can't help but suspect that this sort of stuff is often planted. Though of course I do think Betty is genuine in her beliefs. It just very sad for the people concerned that their obvious enthusiasm for the case overwhelm's them completely and they do as my signature says. Hell, I go off on tangents, we all do. But this sort of stuff is depressing- truth be told, because Betty like Phil Nelson seems to be a good person.

Well I'm glad you think I'm a good person! I'm a little depressed that I haven't more feedback on the material presented. I really wish the picture I've inserted could be enlarged to 400% . Maybe the mods could help with that.
