Bernice, I spoke with Doug Weldon on the phone when I first discovered Jim Altgen's photo and what you could see at 400%. Doug told me that he had tried to talk to Chainey but was legally stopped from doing so. Doug was very interested in the photo and said he was going to look into it.

The Greer shooting theory probably originated from people watching the Zapruder film looking for conspiracy evidence and noticing the timing between Greer turning around and Kennedy being shot in the head. They combined this with the rear exit wound and assumed this was evidence of a quick shot from Greer. Absolute apocrypha that gained popularity by being given internet exposure. No serious JFK Assassination investigator believes in it. It reminds me of childish things I heard rumored in junior high school.

I agree with you Albert on all fronts. But I really do think it was Cooper that crafty dude went around the using worse and worse footage of the Zapruder film when the better and better it gets the less it looks like anything. But as for the first few hours with the film bang on mate. I can seriously imagine all sorts of stuff was going on.

I remember seeing a short video containing an altered snip of the officially altered Z-film, that had been made to make it look more convincing of a gun glinting in Greer's hand....but it was all photoshoped or some other techniques. I don't know if others have seen this clip, or if it is still about on the internet. I knew it was a phony as a wooden 3.5 cent coin. :what:

I have heard back from Doug, i am only posting what i think pertains to the Chaney, information from him....re the photo, i will be back...b..
Bernice:
I just read Chaney died April 19, 1976. This was during my first year of law school ( when he died I was only 23 years of age) when I did not know much about the assassination except that a friend of mine had done a paper in college in 1974 but he never talked with anyone himself in doing the paper and I doubt he ever mentioned Chaney. My real interest in the assassination began in 1978 when my interest was stimulated when I realized the HSCA was going to conclude there was another gunman. My interest was also stimulated by "Best Evidence" in 1981. All of this is explained in my book. I know nothing about this Betty. Maybe she talked with someone else. Does she explain how anyone was "legally stopped" from talking with anyone? I am not aware of anyone ever being "legally stopped" from trying to talk with a witness. It is kind of strange. The only way I could think of someone being "legally stopped" would be if a subpoena was issued for a witness and a court quashed the subpoena as was happening to Jim Garrison and some of his witnesses. Before Chaney's death I was only a student. I was 10 years old when Kennedy was killed.
Bernice, feel free to use this or anything from my last e-mail in your response or anything I have said or written. I never hide anything. You can quote anything or everything I have written in my e-mails or even use these e-mails to you verbatim. If I am ever wrong I have no problem admitting to such. I NEVER SPOKE WITH ANY WITNESS UNTIL I TALKED WITH WHITAKER IN 1993. I knew very little about Chaney until 1998 when Gary Mack shared some film footage of Chaney with me in Dallas.

the rest from Doug that pertains to this whatever....Chaney, Altgens, Lead car Mafia shooter, Greer shooter, like whatever.....then i am done with it, btw, Doug has not as yet examined the touted Altgens, he has not been up to snuff, but he will when he is and time allows....b..
The idea that Greer shot Kennedy is absurd and I have always said that. If anyone does believe such it would have nothing to do with a south knoll shot or a hole in the windshield and thus is completely extraneous with those ideas. This Betty or someone identifying themselves as Betty did phone me but Chaney was never mentioned. You have my e-mails and I don't believe Chaney is mentioned. As I noted. I really haven't examined the info she e-mailed me yet. Chaney was highly respected by his fellow officers and his reputation for honesty was very high. He and Ellis were interviewed by some investigators for the Warren Commission and I have Ellis' account of that where they told the investigators that they saw the first shot kick up debris across from the depository just as the limo turned onto Elm Street. According to Ellis the investigators told he and Chaney they could not have seen that.
Below are the four e-mails I received from Betty. I received one phone call. The e-mails and one phone call represent my total contact with Betty. She seemed pleasant enough. I have not examined anything yet but, of course, I am interested in anything regarding Altgen's. I have simply not looked at it yet and as you can see I encouraged her to have others look at her points also.

Thank you Bernice (and Doug) for following this up. Much appreciated. :iluvu:
