A scientist trained a flea to fly.
Every time he said, "Fly, flea," the flea flew.
"Fly flea." The flea flew.
Then the scientist cut the wings off the flea.
He said, "Fly, flea," but the flea didn't fly.
"Fly, flea." Nothing.
And the scientist wrote in his notebook, "When one cuts the wings off a flea, the flea becomes deaf."
