Actually, I think most of them never believed in a conspiracy in the first place, but they tell the story because they think it gives them some credibility. "I got over being a conspiracy theorist, and you can too!"
I was just about to say the same thing Tracy. I don't even engage them as it is just time wasted. You cannot study this case and continue to believe the official lie.
