I will put together some notes...still recovering from burning it at both ends all weekend. I believe John G. will also be gettting much if not all the speakers up on various sites, like here and COPA.
I arrived about 3 by plane, as I had a very long court hearing Friday that Erick graciously handled for me, and in the lobby with a few others was John Armstrong. So I got to hear a lot of incredible tales from the moments I arrived. All the speakers were wonderful. John Judge had an all star line-up this year. Jim Douglas was nothing less than profoundly moving, as was Abraham Bolden.
It was fabulous to finally meet Lisa Pease and Jim DiEugenio who also gave terrific presentations. Had a wonderful time with them after hours as well.
To be in the company of all the presenters and attendees where the level of scholarship was so high was just an extraordinary experience.
There is also a growing number of younger people to whom the torch has been passed and it was refreshing and exciting to meet and speak with some of them.
