Since I am left eyed and right-handed, I have some of the best eye-hand co-ordination ever recorded in the history of athletics. I am on the same trophy with Alex Rodriguez (A-Rod), Mike Griese, Mike Shula, Don Shula, Jr., Nick Buoniconti, Alonzo Highsmith and several others. Who are they you ask? Footballers and Baseballers. REAL Footballers, not the Soccer Nuts. We all went to what is now called Miami Dolphins High School, jokingly, and were voted Outstanding Athlete of the Year. I coulda been a contendah. The person drafted right after Lew Alcindor (later Kareem Abdul Jabaar) Neal Walk, from Miami Beach High used to eat dust and suck wind whenever he played against me. I made the MVP of the FHSAA Basketball All-State Game in Gainesville, Florida voted by the Coaches Association, and Neal Walk did not. He was later MVP of the NBA All-Star Game but I was obviously not. He is now known as the best Jewish NBA Player in the history of the game, and I taught him most of what he knows. Not! Later the poor fella had a tumor on his spine which caused him to be confined to a wheelchair for life. Bad breaks for a really good guy.
If I recall correctly, you were also a class mate in later years of the almost President Gore. In another thread at another time if there are any thoughts and observations most welcomed.
Not much there. Barely knew him or his roommate Tommy Lee Jones who were already in the Super-Star class by the end of Freshman Year. I did run against Al Gore for President of the Freshman Student Council... and you will never guess, but I lost! I started him out on his meteoric political career and he never even came back to thank me or acknowledge my efforts in launching him off in the right direction. If I had only won that election I coulda been a political contendah and maybe even the VP. Not!
