John, do you, in light of the significance you find in William F. Buckley and YAF, find, too, significance in the Sharon Statement founding the latter being adopted September 11, 1960, in the home of the former.

I've read (and have) Marks' Search for the Manchurian Candidate. It seems poor Sidney Gottlieb got no where, failed to teach biochemists to fly, hence rolled it up in 1973.
Do you credit that record of nonsuccess. Did you see the 1997 Conspiracy Theory with Gottlieb portrayed by Patrick Stewart. Is there more to it than the strobing of the construction light by the ventilator.

I find the historic record of interest. Prouty's reported haughtiness seems contrived. My line arrived seven generations ago, fought King George, to free the slaves, to defeat Japanese militarism, and I never once felt an urge to head for Dealey Plaza with a long arm.
In Target Patton, Robert Wilcox suggests Donovan as part of a plot to kill Patton in December, 1945. What is your take on this, and on Wilcox citing a figure in British intelligence saying Donovan's selection was a good thing as it was "one of our own".
Wilcox on pages 222-3 posits Bandera was killed by Stashinsky in 1959 both for his anti-Soviet activities and his knowledge of the Patton assassination per Skubik.
