Charles, I think you voice a desire of earnest delvers to form a composite of the knowable.
I had seen the photos of the tramps, at first presented without identification, only a questioning of their appearance and disappearance in anonymity and with such seemingly lax police guard.
Then I purchased the Weberman-Canfield Coup and studied their overlays of Hunt, Sturgis and Carswell.
Then I purchased and doubted the LaFontaines. It didn't seem they were identifying the three tramps, only three others of many caught up in the net that day.
Now I see the Chauncey Holt claim that they are he (Holt), Harrelson and "Richard Montoya" whom Lois Gibson said was Richard Rogers.
We have here photo professionals like Jack, and shrewd diamond buyers such as yourself. I keep coming back to these races and watching the golden apples Ciana throws down to distract.
And I learn something each time. I've seen the Lansdale hand phenomenon and find it fascinating. We've seen Mark Lane turn Hunt's alibi for the day into paperdolls for a jury. Even Phillips is said to have confessed at the midnight hour to being in the big D.
The half-dozen grinning spook-alikes hanging on the lampost are suggestive. The algebra of one in a million to the sixth power is compelling.
Proofs of the presque vu type abound. In poring over the Robin Unger gallery last night above JFK is Mainman, and in another frame, intruding on the waving First Couple is the Only Umbrella Open During the Motorcade.
In another photo it looks like Kellerman is looking right at Umbrella Man.
Raking the sand, it still seems so contrived to have Mainman "identified" by a just-discovered "plaque"--as if to say, oh, the dog has regurgitated my homework and I have it after all--just as so much attention has been drawn to the identification of photos not suppressed.
Hany F.B.I. Farid failed to convince me Oswald was lying when he said it was his head on another body. I think Hunt's ears' imperfect removal suggest the "old" tramp was Hunt. Although Fedora Topcoat Man crossing Elm is also nice.
Have the various tramp identifications been subject to comparison in a study I've missed. I could say they ran the toystand on the midway, they're Corky, and Moonshine, and C.G. (Clint Gaines), but they're not.
They present as relevant, whether actors or distractors.
