The "Red Queen" and "The White Knight" and MKULTRA

At least the MKULTRA crowd had a sense of humor although somewhat macabre. Richard Condon surely did not make up the concept of a "Red Queen" (Queent of Hearts or the Queen of Diamonds) being the symbol for selection for assassination "Off with his head then!", said the Queen of Hearts: Louis Carroll - Alice in Wonderland. Raymond Shaw's trigger card in the 1961 movie was to see the "Red Queen" while playing solitaire at which point he would obey literally any command given by his controller.

The appearance of someone dressed up in a "Red Queen" Halloween costume during the movie, ManCand, sent Raymond Shaw into a reverie whereupon his controller, Angela Lansbury, his mother, gave him the assassination suggestion which he then executed. Dick Russell told me that LHO attended a movie called The Queen of Hearts or The King of Hearts during the 1960's sometime as well. I think Genvieve Bujold was in that movie, the French actress which I saw in the late 1960's in black and white at the Harvard Square Cinema in Brattle Square.

And the use of the nicknames like Knight and Bishop used by certain CIA operatives like Phillips, Hunt, etc. were not only references to the game of Chess but also to Alice in Wonderland as well apparently as seen in these song lyrics.

Hunt admitted that David Atlee Phillips was "Knight" which would have made it highly unlikely that he was also "Bishop" or "Maurice Bishop" as pronounced by Cuban exiles or "Morris Bishop" which was the correct pronunciation when spoken by an Anglo without a Cuban accent. Morris Bishop was in all likelihood Robert Morris who lived in the same neighborhood as Antonio Veciana, Gerry Hemming and Orlando Bosch in Miami, among several others.
