Morley has been at this since 2003, beginning with a FOIA request. He has had to wait some ten years for an answer. What "national security" are they, the powers-that-be and their minions, worrying about? The security of the murderers of President John Kennedy? Are they even still alive?
I began seeking documents from the Secret Service, the FBI, and the CIA about my interview on November 24, 1963, by FBI Special Liaison Agent Orrin Bartlett and US Secret Service Agent John Rice in 1975 when I first learned of the FOIA from Attorney Jack Peebles. I received nothing but denials from these agencies and/or 'national securitry' excuses. In 1991 I spoke with Mr. Bartlett by phone and he encouraged me in writing about my experiences.
He had retired from the FBI years before. On November 24, 1963, he had called his heaquarters in Washington, and other relevant FBI field offices ordering them to pick up Jose Rivera for interrogation. Where is a record of this interrogation, and why must it be hidden, even after fifty years of the public murder?
I have waited over 37 years after my initial FOIA request for answers. Will the documents, if they still exist, be released in 2017? I rather doubt it because the truth of the Kennedy assassination, revealing that elements of our own government, members of our own military/intelligence agencies, and private businessmen, enemies of JFK, conspired to murder him. What would the American people then do, if and when they learn the truth?
