In one of the episodes, Sneak Pete, a con man, a true worker of magic, recruits a young black woman. He works her into the con by, conning her and getting rid of her later, of course. At one point the whole thing is falling apart as her roll is becoming compromised. She asks him via cell phone, What should I do? He says, I have no idea. Work the problem. She improvises and the Big Con continues on.
I thought of the kind of improvising that had to happen in post-assassination. They had experts just as Bill Kelly writes. And they worked the problem.
One more thought. Anyone think that Trump is part of a Big Con? Is he the guy running it? Is he just one of the hired roll players? How much of the con does he know?
