Dallas for the 50th...who and where
#1
I realize it is a bit early to ask this question but, given the problems with what the ptb are planning for this all important anniversary, I am wondering who is planning to attend. Erick and I will be doing COPA and stayaing at the usual place- Lawrence- I know Lancer is overlapping a bit this year, not nearly enough , but unlike past years it is not a full week apart.

I look most forward to seeing old friends (like Bob Groden) and newer ones.

We need to be there in HUGE numbers.

Well, if we're going to storm the Plaza, we better be there in large numbers.

If only to organize who will be in which wave.

Since I want to be arrested for personal publicity purposes, I will volunteer to be in the first.

Considering who the DPD is, should I wear a bullet proof vest?

Bravo Jim. Make sure you have someone to document it on high quality video.

Have one with you, but don't put it on until you're in custody.

Hope you can make it, "Albert." I'm sure you qualify for a group rate.

Charles:

Let's put it this way: If they take me out in handcuffs, with two cops on each side but no one in front, I guess I should look for a guy with a dark suit and hat with his hand in his pocket and his dog in the car.

Plus, two horns going off right after each other.

Is there any university housing near the Plaza? Unlikely, given the sprawl of Dallas....just an idea...as back in the 'old days' of demonstrations against the War in Vietnam, I often stayed in apartments of university students, who had places walking distance from the 'action'.
