Anyone know if the DPD let the COPA people into the Plaza at 14:30, as was stipulated by Court Order? It is now time for the Saturday LIVE webcam to begin...and I'm sitting here hoping it won't get screwed up this year.....they always got them up afterwards, but not always live......holding my breath, as it is several minutes past and usually one starts a livecast well before.....oh, well....

Sound quality is slightly better if one switches to the USTREAM channel - just click on 'USTREAM' on url above and somehow bear an unbearable commercial at mind****ing volume.::fury:: Nah...same sound lack-of-quality and pop-up ads every few minutes - watch on the COPA page. Anyone who has a mobile number of someone in charge there, tell them the sound is horrible and camera position illogical. Thanks.

Now the feed [horrible as it was!] is down completely.....this is a total tragedy for this important conference. I barely heard parts of some of the talks...and wouldn't have been able to make out anything, if I didn't know already the books and subject matter of the speakers. I can only hope they have other recordings...as what is [was] going out on ustream no one would bother downloading and trying to decipher. I sent desperate emails to those I know there, but don't know if anyone received them. I don't have anyone's phone number there. ::thumbsdown:::  :::headbang::

PLEASE!, Anyone at the COPA conference reading this or anyone anywhere who has a mobile number for ANYONE at COPA, Please, PLEASE tell those running the Conference that the Ustream feed yesterday was just awful....unusable, not understandable, impossible to see the speakers [or their presentations on the screen] and the audio SO BAD, I could only make out generally what they were talking about - and that because I know them all and know what they say and write about. Had I been naive to their work, I'd have not caught any full sentence! Please make sure that Sunday's livestream is better! I'm very upset about this and hope against hope there is another better saved version to be put up on the COPA website!

I did mention this to the organizers yesterday. I know they were working on it, and this must
be frustrating for those trying to watch online. I hope the problems are resolved. But, unfortunately, as Ben

The image is clearer, though still the camera is too far away and not showing much of the speaker's face, not from the front, and none of the screen....the audio is about the same ...maybe just slightly better...but not a whole lot.

I'm very upset about this, as yesterday's was inaudible and not visible!. I hope against hope there is another better saved version to be put up on the COPA website!...if not rather than tens of thousands getting this information, only a few hundred will have....

After being down for an hour or more it suddenly was back up and OK....but then after a further ten minutes it is down again and has been for 30+ minutes. If the NSA is not doing this, than shame on COPA for lack of due diligence. Again, anyone at COPA or in mobile contact with anyone there - let them know. They do NOT monitor the feed - a fatal mistake; a livefeed must be monitored constantly!

Peter -- did anyone with COPA, on-site, have the final program output feed sent directly to an in-line recording device on-site (backup) BEFORE the signal went to the streaming device/equipment?
