Hi David we used to have that facility to download threads but I have just checked and it is no longer there. Probably lost in transit during one of the upgrades. I need to reinstall it so members can download threads again.

In asking for the ability to download his entire posting history, he would have to go into Profile and download not just his latest posts (which seems to be 200) but all his posts. Correct?

Not sure. His posts will be regisitered in the profile posting history. Can also do a search for post by one person. But I think it will be thread by thread chosen by David rather than just all posts by David. He will end up with some posts made by others which he can keep or delete as wanted. Technical limitation of the software.

On EF, they lost mush of the older history I believe...

I went into the 13 pages of only my posts and copy pasted them into a word doc.... 450 pages including all the images.

The local versions of the images in the posts would be important to download as well...

When one goes into their history, the entire post is not showing so that makes it even harder to get one's content...

If you find a way please let me know... I've done so much work and written so much just here that it would be a shame not to have it all
as I work on my next project

Thanks

Yeah, EF lost much to most of their history [and erased others], and they always eliminate photos after a certain period, regardless. There is only one bit 'o software that can recover all lost [or current] posts [and websites]....BUT, it takes a long time, is difficult to set up, seems to not have support, and works best if one waits quite a while from the time it was 'lost'. It is called Warrick and can be found on the internet...its free...but a bitch to set up and get going....especially without support, and instructions for the uber-computer-literate. Good luck.
