I think Mr D is failing the issue here. Meyer's murder was well into the MK-ULTRA program period. Her death conforms to a "technical" hit using a possible Manchurian Candidate hypnotic assassin similar to Sirhan. Forgive me if I find Jim's 'infallibility' admissions less than living up to what is needed here. Pitzer too.

I agree that Mitchell is a very important POI, but I'm also intrigued by Joe Shimon.....who claimed to know the outline, if not the details of the JFK Assassination to his daughter. [all detailed in Janney's book] From the names and citations below, it looks like Shimon has long been WAY overlooked!!!!

Shimon told his daughter Toni not to ask him about the Kennedy assassination and Mary Meyer because if she knew what he knew it would put her in danger. Toni said Shimon was pretty unphase-able even with his duties in dealing with dangerous people. However the only time she ever saw serious fear on her father's face was when she mentioned the Kennedy assassination.
Shimon's first wife divorced him because she was wise enough to know the main mafia figures he was bringing over to their house where they had long conferences in the kitchen were people like Trafficante, Roselli, Giancana etc. as well as Angleton and Harvey. Shimon was the inexact Washington DC equivalent of Clay Shaw who interfaced with CIA, the mob, Cuban exiles, White House, and FBI as a key interlocuter. He was the person who would get the inside word and he told Toni the same bastards who killed Kennedy killed Mary Meyer because "she knew too much". He coldly advised his daughter Toni "people are eliminated" as if it were simple as that and she should resign herself to it as a Washington reality. The locked in magnetic field in Janney's related evidence clearly shows CIA assassination of Mary Meyer.

Wow, first time I've seen this thread. That Fetzer considers 95% of the JFK research community to be disinformation artists shows a real Maoist/Khmer Rouge-like mentality at work. No, if anyone was sent to sow confusion and uncertainty in the JFK community, it has been people who insist that everything was faked and then demand party-line adherence to this idea.

I'm not going to take issue with the above, but I think there are more important issues discussed on this thread. IMO, the death of MPM is pivotal to undertanding the JFK Assassination. Oh, one can understand it without understanding who murdered her and why, but when one knows that, it all becomes very much more clear....almost transparent.

As Dawn shows with RFK, once you properly understand Mary Meyer was assassinated by CIA in a typical Technical Services job like Sirhan you then understand that Kennedy could not have been killed by the mob, Cubans, LBJ or anyone else. (Granted they were still influenced by the eastern establishment sponsors).

Here is American political Nazi Thomas Whalen lying about JFK in order to discredit Janney (pronounced Jane E). What Whalen does here is so outrageous he should be charged with a crime for it as well as CNN.
CNN has the balls to put a CIA disclaimer on their show as if it was credible. There is no one to ask when CIA has ever admitted to such horrific Nazi crimes as the assassination of Mary Meyer. After Whalen lies and Kyra sets Janney up to look bad they then give the liars the last word and cut Janney off after they have smeared him. And this is called American journalism.
