Good question and an apparently unexplored one....The search for the debris of the plane seems to be going nowhere. Someone planned 'this one' with great care - greater IMO than one would do if committing suicide - and ruling out any kind of accident or mechanical failures. I'm beginning to rule out a hijacking by a private person, persons or group - as they'd surely make known they'd done it and make some demand known. That leaves state actors. Now, they are investigating themselves - always the best way to cover up a dirty trail..........

The head of the search for Malaysia Airlines Flight MH370 has raised the possibility that no wreckage from the passenger jet may ever be found, revealing authorities have a very poor understanding about how fast or far it travelled.
Speaking to media on Tuesday, Air Chief Marshal (rtd) Angus Houston compared the search for the aircraft to the disappearance of HMAS Sydney, which took 60 years to locate.

"We have a starting point and we need to pursue the search with vigour and we need to do that for some time to come," the former head of Australia's Defence Forces said.
"Inevitably, if we don't find wreckage on the surface, we are eventually going to have to, probably, in consultation with everybody who has a stake in this, review what we do next."
Hopes of a breakthrough had been raised after the Australian Maritime Safety Authority revealed a new search area about 1100 kilometres north-east of the previous zones on Friday after analysis that the plane had been travelling faster than previously thought, and would therefore have burnt more fuel and crashed earlier.

But Air Chief Marshal Houston, head of the new Joint Agency Coordination Centre (JACC), said this analysis - described last week as the "most credible" lead to date - was a "very inexact science".
"We don't know what altitude the aircraft was travelling at. We don't really know the speed it was going," he said.
He said the ground speed of a plane travelling at sea level was half that of a plane travelling at 40,000 feet even if both aircraft had "the same indicated airspeed".

Air Chief Marshal Houston is a former Chief of Air Force and aviator who spent much of his career as a search and rescue helicopter pilot.
With no wreckage found after three and a half weeks despite a multinational effort now involving nine ships, 10 aircraft and 1000 personnel, the search for flight MH370 was by far the most challenging he had come across, he said.
While noting that technology had advanced considerably, he compared the search for MH370 with the sinking of HMAS Sydney off the coast of Western Australia during World War II.

"There were eyewitnesses who saw the ship disappear over the horizon but it took us about 60 years to find HMAS Sydney on the bottom of the ocean," he said.
Captain Allison Norris, commander of HMAS Success, told Fairfax Media that conditions were rough on Tuesday with high winds and swell of up to four metres. Nonetheless, her crew were scouring the ocean around the clock, using all available personnel on the vessel regardless of their normal jobs.
Crew were using night vision equipment when it was dark, she added.
Air Chief Marshal Houston will brief Malaysia's Prime Minister Najib Razak on the search and recovery effort, with the leader scheduled to arrive in Perth on Wednesday.
Mr Najib will tour RAAF Pearce with Prime Minister Tony Abbott, among other engagements during his two-day visit.
Meanwhile, Danica Weeks, the wife of one of the 239 missing passengers and crew on MH370, arrived at RAAF Pearce on Tuesday and complained she was not getting enough information about the search and recovery operation.
Air Chief Marshal Houston said he had given Ms Weeks his personal mobile number and invited her to come to JACC headquarters for a personal briefing.
Meanwhile, a new ship will join the search by the weekend. DMS Seahorse Standard, a multipurpose vessel leased to the Australian navy, will join a flotilla of three other Australian vessels, six Chinese ships and the Malaysian frigate KD Leiku in the search.
DMS Seahorse Standard was involved in the hunt for the Australian Blackhawk helicopter that crashed off the Solomon Islands in 2007.
As well as the ships deployed, there were 10 aircraft in the search area 1850 kilometres west of Perth on Tuesday.
Also, ADV Ocean Shield set sail from Fremantle and is expected to arrive in the search zone on Friday with its equipment in a bid to locate the aircraft's black box.

He notes that in this continuing drama, who comes out looking like a bunch of fools ... always?

The Malay government.

He asks, What happens if the current regime, which is not friendly to the Trans Pacific Partnership trade agreement, is the target?

What if their political and democratic opposition to the TPP is what instigated that accidental downing in the first place? Is it possible that a military leader in the country took a different approach to facilitating social, economic and political change in Malaysia? Did someone deliberately set-up the current political structure with a deliberate act and obvious cover-up knowing the political ramifications for the incumbent party would be catastrophic?

The Malaysian Govt. also has sponsored a 911-Truth Conference/War Crimes Trial and others along those lines.....definitely upsetting the powers that be in the 'West' and especially USA. That said, its a big jump [though not an impossible one] to pulling off something like the disappearance of all those on board a commercial flight. An interesting, if speculative, idea. While Malaysia certainly comes off looking stupid and incompetent over this incident, I think most everyone does.

MH370 Smoking Gun Proof Or Just Deliberate Misdirection Away From Real Location?

Are reports being manipulated to hide the truth of the missing Malaysia Flight 370 being in Pakinstan as Lt. Gen. Thomas McInerney asserted on March 18, 2014?

On March 25, 2014 it was reported at Before It's News that an alleged message was sent by Philip Wood, one of the passengers of the missing Malaysia Flight 370. The message reportedly said (screen shotys below) ""I have been held hostage by unknown military personnel after my flight was hijacked (blindfolded). I work for IBM and I have managed to hide my cellphone in my @ss during the hijack. I have been separated from the other passengers and I am in a cell. My name is Philip Wood. I think I have been drugged as well and cannot think clearly."

The question asked at that time was whether this was legitimate or a hoax.

Well, let us take a look at some coincidental timing, shall we?

March 18, 2014, Lt. Gen. Thomas McInerney was on "Hannity" and explained how missing Malaysia Airlines Flight 370 could have landed in Pakistan to be used for terrorism. Something he stood behind for days following his initial assertion. In fact, it was heavily reported, and continued to be reported….. until March 24, 2014 when Malaysian authorities announced the plane went down into the Indian Ocean.

More on that below the other events in chronological order.

Coincidentally, March 24, 2014, the Malasian authorities informed the public that they knew the plane had crashed into the Indian Ocean, yet, to date, none of the debris found has been connected to the actual plane that went missing, but the announcement still went out publicly on the same the date the Internet started blowing up with this message supposedly from Mr. Woods, and questions started being asked if it was real and if so, why it came from the area where the US has a military base, Diego Garcia.

The video below asks if "smoking gun proof," (Wood's alleged message) indicated that Malaysia Flight 370 was hijacked by the US Navy, but after looking at the time line of events, it is just as possible that Wood's supposed message, as well as the timing of the Malaysia announcement that the plane definitely went down in the Indian Ocean, without a shred of evidence to provide to families that are demanding it, isn't all massive misdirection to hide the truth of Lt. Gen. Thomas McInerney words.

Please notice that since the so-called announcement by Malaysian authorities, the Pakistan angle hasn't been reported on again……. all other theories continue to make the news and videos, such as the one below, but not the Pakistan angle.

If it was misdirection, it seems to have worked spectacularly!
