Robert Strauss was one of nine members inducted into the 1945 Friars Club at the University of Texas. Two other members of note were Malcolm Everett Wallace and Horace Busby, Jr. Busby and Wallace were recruited by Cliff Carter to work in Lyndon Johnson's campaign. Busby would be with Johnson throughout his career. Wallace would be sidetracked by murdering Kinser at his nine hole golf course in Austin. Kinser had been dating Wallace's wife and rumored to have dated Johnson's sister, Josefa. Wallace was convicted of murder with malice and received a five year suspended sentence. His attorney of record was John Cofer, who represented Johnson and Billie Sole Estes. Wallace would later be granted a secret clearance in his work at Temco Aircraft despite being rejected by the Navy investigators. Some believe he was a shooter in Dealey Plaza in 1963. His Dealey Plaza role will be covered in the new book, "Kill JFK" which will be released in English and French during the first week of October.
