Edwin Ekdahl's height
#1
On September 20 last year, JH said here on this forum "John, Everyone seems to have an opinion about the photographs, but you also have to take into account what eyewitnesses said back in the day. You discount John Pic's estimate that step-father Ekdahl was over 6 feet tall, but whose opinion should we count more, John Pic's or yours? Pic got the other details of Ekdahl right on the money: glasses and hair color."

Well, the fact is, we don't have to take anyone's opinion. Ekdahl's height is listed on various documents from his travel to China as a young man.

Those documents list his height as 5' 10", 5' 10 & 1/2 and 5' 11".

No point in showing the other one as I don't have a clear enough copy at present. In any case, these should suffice to make the point.

Claiming Ekdahl was "over 6 feet tall" allows Sexy Sadie to claim that Marguerite was taller than she actually was.

This misinformation is further exacerbated by the fact that people do shrink as they get older - usually at least one or two inches.

SS star witness, Myra DeRous even said he had shrunk an inch since the 1950s.

How tall was Harvey? Myra said, "Well, I'm about 5'3" now, but I was
about 5'4" back then,
and I would say he came up to about here
[indicating]. I would say he was about 4'8", 4'6", or about 4'8"." In short, the whole one "tall" and one "short" Marguerite is all smoke and mirrors and colorful fonts.

As usual, the whole premise of one "tall" Marguerite and one "short" Marguerite is all smoke and mirrors and big loud fonts.

So, Parker is moving us along to a new topic, now that he has declared victory a dozen times or more in the tonsillectomy thread he started before this one. In that previous thread, Parker concluded that the tonsillectomy Marguerite Oswald THOUGHT her son had undergone was FAKED by "the quack Philben," although, he tells us, "Marguerite honestly believed the tonsils had been removed."

Can't argue with logic like that! Case closed!

Where did you get these documents, Greg, and how can we verify them from the source?

The ONLY people claiming victory were you and Josephs. You are doing so again here albeit in an arrogant and sarcastic manner.

But just to keep you happy - it's a no-brainer. There was no tonsillectomy and you guys got your knickers all twisted by it. So yes. The argument was not one you were ever going to win - and it is a pattern you ha better become accustomed to.

The documents are easily obtainable online from various genealogy sites.

You are not going to claim that someone put up faked documents in the hope that a JFK researcher would come along and be fooled by them I hope?

Your reliance on the memory of witnesses - both real as in Pic and completely bogus as in Kudlaty is a fatal flaw.

I assume the question of Edwin A Ekdahl's height is an effort to compare the relative height of a person known as Marguerite Francis Claverie Pic Oswald Ekdahl. If so, I am curious as to any side by side comparison photographs being available showing "Lee's" mother and "Harvey's" mother. According to IMDb, Marguerite Francis Claverie/Pic/Oswald/Ekdahl died on January 17, 1981, in Fort Worth, Tarrant County, Texas.

Wish we had that picture, but it probably doesn't exist. Here, though, is a picture of short Marguerite looking up at short Marina.

If I can, I often cite chapter and verse for documentation. Just give us direct access to your source to verify your documents. Why should anyone believe you otherwise? Your tonsil bullshit stinks to high heaven.

For one, she is not looking "up" at Marina, unless she is cross-eyed, she is looking behind Marina. As I said before, people shrink with age. I am certain you already knew that. We also cannot see the whole person. Marguerite looks like she is stooped to me. There is also perspective to take into account. Without that perspective, you would have to judge the man in the white hat to be also rather short, since sans perspective, he looks only a few inches taller than Marguerite.

Really? I looked at the Harvey and Lee site and not find any instance where you stated "chapter and verse" for documentation (or photos). Nor could find any examples in the threads I've been involved in here. Maybe you can point to some examples?

In the meantime, knock yourself out here http://search.ancestry.com.au/cgi-bin/ss...&cp=0&so=2

I do find it difficult to believe you could not find your way to ancestry.com or similar and search for these records. It's not exactly rocket science.

But I do understand the game you feel compelled to play in order to forestall further embarrassment.

Hell, I'm not the one who says Oswald's tonsillectomy was faked by the "quack Philben" although "Marguerite honestly believed the tonsils had been removed." THAT'S YOU!

Thanks for the cite, but I'm not giving them my Mastercard to check it out.

Didn't Fetzer get banned from this forum for being a persistent idiot?
Mr. HILL. The right rear portion of his head was missing. It was lying in the rear seat of the car. His brain was exposed. There was blood and bits of brain all over the entire rear portion of the car. Mrs. Kennedy was completely covered with blood. There was so much blood you could not tell if there had been any other wound or not, except for the one large gaping wound in the right rear portion of the head.
