U.S. Agent Ruby Killed U.S. Agent Oswald
#1
In the same way that the CIA, the FBI and four government investigations covered up the intelligence ties of Lee Harvey Oswald, they also buried the less obvious but now increasingly compelling evidence that Jack Ruby was also, at the very least, a U.S. Intelligence asset for at least a decade prior to the assassination of JFK.

While feeding the public a tale of a low-level organized crime character who operated a few strip clubs, the real Jack Ruby/Jacob Rubenstein was much more than that. Along with Fidel Castro's personal friend Robert McKeown and former Cuban President Carlos Prio Socarra, Ruby was a major supplier of armaments to Cuba, both in support of the Castro insurgency and, surprisingly soon after Castro took power, in opposition to his regime.

For their efforts to supply guns to Cuba, both McKeown and Prio were arrested by U.S. authorities, prosecuted and convicted. Although he was just as active in the weapons for Cuba market, Ruby was never arrested, never prosecuted and, of course, never convicted of arms smuggling.

Why?

Most probably because he was protected. This protection is the first major clue that Jack Ruby was a U.S. intelligence asset, possibly an agent. There is more that is being worked on now by John Armstrong for inclusion in the coming weeks on HarveyandLee.net.

The purpose of this post is not to present John's evidence, which is still being assembled, but to pose the question, Has anyone here ever thought that Jack Ruby worked for the CIA?

Asset of some intelligence agency [ies], for sure. His Cuban gun running, for one. Evidence he likely knew and met Oswald before. He was also connected to the Mafia - but parts of the Mafia and the CIA were very close [i.e., Roselli/Col. Ralston - and others]. Ruby was also close to DPD Intelligence - which had some close to CIA and MI.

And Ruby was very well informed about Oswald - he shadowed his movements and knew more than the cops [e.g., When Oswald was brought out to speak with reporters, D A Henry Wade said the suspected assassin was a member of "the Free Cuba Committee." From the last row, a "newsman" wearing glasses corrected Wade: "Fair Play for Cuba," he called out.The voice was Ruby's, who was not a reporter, and not known to wear glasses.]

When Henry Wade read the wrong name in the press conference, it was a mistake on Wade's part. The correct name had already been given ("leaked"?) to the TV media, and of course New Orleans PD, TV/radio people in New Orleans, and the FBI knew all about it (whether the fistfight in New Orleans was an FBI "operation", or from the 90 minute FBI interview of Oswald in the New Orleans jail, or from the radio debate with Bringueir, or the TV interview of Oswald). So Ruby was more well informed than Texas DA Henry Wade, but his knowledge of the correct name of the committee did not necessarily originate from Mafia or CIA sources.

Ruby's high level of interest in Oswald (at this "early" stage) is spotlighted by this event. It seems likely that, had Ruby defense lawyer Melvin Belli known about this event, and also about the press interview (after Oswald's death) where Wade admitted interacting with Ruby in the police station (while Oswald was alive), that the defense could have had Wade recused from prosecuting the case, because Wade was a witness to facts tending to prove premeditation, and could have been called to testify as a witness at Ruby's trial.

Either Belli didn't know, or Belli didn't care.

I think Ruby showed up at the hotel where Hunt was paying-off the Miami crew before the assassination.

Thanks for all these insights so far. Exactly the kind of things we were hoping for.

The inside knowledge Ruby seemed to have at several points of this case could indeed have come from any number of suspects, but his gunrunning business sure seems to limit the field.

Who had the ability to both monitor and protect arms traffickers operating between the U.S. and Cuba?

Spy vs. Spy in the Kennedy Assassination!

The impersonator of Lee Harvey Oswald who traveled to the Soviet Union in 1959 and to Mexico in 1963 was a US agent.

Jack Ruby was an agent of another kind. He belonged to the internal security apparatus of the private sector which preceded the organizations established under the National Security Act of 1947. This distinction explains why the government in 1963 was on the verge of bankrupting Jack Ruby.

Definitely an intelligence asset and contact (though not an agent), like many other drug traffickers and racketeers have been.

JACK RUBY'S SECURITY CLEARANCE

by Bill Kelly http://jfkcountercoup2.blogspot.com/2013...rance.html

JACK RUBY'S SECURITY CLEARANCE

A new edition of Mel Barney's book "Four Wars"includes an Addendum entitled "Jack Ruby Had U.S. Security Clearance," and details how Jack Ruby had a Security Clearance that permitted him to fly on a special Texas Instruments airplane.

The airplane, a B-26, which was identified as a "Texas Instruments Incorporated Flying Laboratory," had special, newly developed equipment a "Automatic Terrain Following Radar Laboratory."

Official records indicate that Ruby flew on the plane twice in Washington DC in 1961. Ruby, who killed JFK assassination suspect Lee Harvey Oswald while he was in the custody of the Dallas Police, is known to have had a special association with Richard Nixon and served as an FBI informant, but his special federal security clearance was not previously known.

Author of the book, Mel Barney wrote, "During ourWashington D.C. demonstration flights, we were flying up to six very dangerous automatic terrain following flights over the mountains west of D.C. at an altitude of 200 feet. Grant Dove, Manager of the Texas Instruments Washington Office, scheduled all visitors and checked to assure that they had proper U.S. Security Clearance and a Need to Know'. His engineers would then bring hem to the airport for their scheduled demonstration flights. This assured that no one would observe these demonstration flights unless they had proper government clearances."

"On September 1, 1961 (see flight test log in Appendix, Flights 144 and 145) Ticknor was the TI Engineer on Flt. 144 and on Flt 145 Barney was the TI Engineer…To fly on these demonstration flights, the observer had to have a U.S. Security Clearance and a Need to Know.' Jack Ruby had these clearances and I recognized Jack Ruby on Flight 145. I do not know when or how he obtained these clearances which were usually controlled by the FBI or CIA."

Not another person with the same name, Barney personally knew Ruby and recalled him being on the flights.

"I became acquainted with Jack Ruby in the late 1950s," Barney writes. "As a program manager, I was often called upon to host visiting engineers and managers who solved problems or negotiated contracts with TI. Typically, I would take the customer or vendor to dinner and in many cases entertain them after dinner. A favored spot to entertain these guests (particularly the pilots) was Jack Ruby's Carousel Club. The Carousel Club was a strop club in downtown Dallas. Jack Ruby would usually greet the group and give us good table.'"

"Our D.C. flight demonstrations were dangerous, scary, and we had a very busy flight schedule. As I was going through the flight logs looking for TI engineers who flew on one or more flight demonstrations, I saw Jack Ruby's name and remembered his flying on two of these flights."

Barney also notes that, "Although Jack Ruby's name appears in the flight log of Four Wars,' I did not highlight the Addendum information about his U.S. Security Clearance requirement until the third printing."

According to Russ Baker in "Family of Secrets," "Geophysical Service, Inc., which later becameTexas Instruments….was a pioneer in technologies that became central to the (oil) industry, such as aerial exploration and the use of seismographic equipment in prospecting." John B. Connally served on the board of Texas Instruments.

FBI-document of 1947 recommends that "one Jack Rubenstein of Chicago" should not be called to testify for the Committee on Unamerican Activities, because he is working for Congressman Richard M. Nixon.
