I suspect this is intended to deliver a message to Obama, of some kind. "Do what we tell you or the kid gets it." Another possibility is that it establishes a legend prior to the assassination. "It's really hard to protect a POTUS against all the nut jobs in the world."

It also is a object lesson in how willing a branch of the government is to lie to the media and the public. In this case, the Secret Service, in falsely publicly reporting the extent to which access was gained. I hope someone loses, their job; not the guy that failed to tackle the intruder at the front door...the guy who fibbed to the press. Or gal.

As Prouty said the best way to keep the POTUS vulnerable is to undermine his security. So the SS as a bureaucracy has an objective to maintain themselves as a bureaucracy and cover their bums. This is what I see happening here in both incidents. There is no reason from the standpoint of today's facilitators to get rid of Obama, he is serving the purposes of the Sponsors well IMO.

So now the director has resigned. Something that didn't happen in 63/64 even after they lost their client.

The BBC website recently ran a feature listing the "notable" scandals involving the SS. Funnily enough, being out drinking the night before the assassination of a sitting President was not considered "notable" enough to make their list.

The BBC is indeed just as "under the thumb" these days as the American media. They even had the nerve to run the Peter Jennings ABC mockumentary with Dale Myers, with their US correspondent doing the voice over.

On a somewhat related note, has anyone seen the movie "The Assassination of George W Bush"? Although obviously fictional, this was presented in the style of a retrospective, interviewing the "witnessess" and those involved recounting their memories of the day. If I recall the film correctly, a Muslim was convicted of killing Bush, but what was covered up was that a disgruntled US Army veteran left a suicide note admitting his guilt. The media continued with "the Muslim did it".

This was a fictional event, but highly plausible nonetheless.

Something doesn't smell right about this event. I remember some other attempts of persons to go over the fence around the White House and all were immediately apprehended. There must be a variety of detectors and other security measures. The fact he got to the White House, into the White House and half way through it is more than amazing....but smells of a pre-planned event. Well, if Obama wasn't on 'notice' before - he is now. While he has been playing mostly by the rules of the rulers for whom he is but a puppet 'face' for the secret government - while playing totally by their rules on 'National Security and War' issues, he has slightly strayed IMHO on domestic and social issues...and might have been in need of a warning along those lines...just speculating. The head of the SS has now resigned - the first female...another possible motive was just to remove a female head of the SS..... Any which way one cuts it, it doesn't seem like an honest 'mistake' (lapse in security). I'm sure that anyone making it to the White House without permission is usually faced with deadly force on the shoot first, ask questions later level......
