All great important stuff, and sad one has to pay for videos of it.... Not having such things available as free videos somewhere on the internet assures that the general public will never be fully informed - just a handful of specialized and aging researchers. I fear when we are all gone it will be like the Lincoln Assassination [another large conspiracy involving aspects of the government, by the way] - and only a note in history that few pay attention to.
Peter,
Are the C-SPAN servers behind some sort of paywall where you are? They aren't in the U,S,
You might be able to get around the problem by setting up a virtual private network (VPN) that would make it appear that the file request was coming from an American city instead of where you are. There are some free vpn services available, though the bandwidth might be throttled a bit. Googling "free internet vpns" or something similar should produce more information than you need.

It would just be nice to be able to download the cspan presentations. All I see is buying a DVD. They seem to have some software that doesn't allow downloading. I can watch it for free. Is it different in the USA?
