12 Dead in Daytime Paris Attack at Satirical Magazine
I think Thierry Meyssan makes excellent points about the government organizing massive demonstrations in support of Charlie Hedbo, with all the apparent and stated dangers to the public from other terrorists clearly does suggest that they knew nothing would happen.

In which case...

Quote:

Charlie Hebdo has broad shoulders

by Thierry Meyssan
While millions of French just came to stand without hesitation in defense of freedoms of expression and worship, politicians and the press, which one and the other constantly undermine them, have seized the opportunity to recover their virginity. For Thierry Meyssan, the government has led an extensive manipulation to cast itself at the head of a great popular event and is now looking for ways to justify a new military operation in Libya.

[Image: 1-5088-6a276-c46c2.jpg]Fifty Heads of State and Government Participated in the Demonstration. In three days, in France, a group of four or five people claiming to be both al-Qaeda in Yemen and the Islamic Emirate (Daesh) massacred the editorship of Charlie Hebdo and murdered a municipal police officer and more hostages in three different situations. France, which had not experienced such violence since the attacks of the OAS, over 50 years ago, responded while crying "We are all Charlie!" by shooting three terrorists and organizing a huge demonstration of several million people. The President of the Republic, François Hollande, hosted the leaders of the political parties represented in Parliament. He appealed to French national unity and attended the event, along with fifty heads of foreign governments. In a previous article [1], I observed that the mode of operation of the terrorists had nothing to do with that which is practiced by experienced jihadists, but rather resembled that of a military commando. I concluded that, as a result, no matter who they were, the only thing we need to know is who commanded them. I would like, in this second article, to return to the reactions aroused by this case.

The suspension of the right to protest

At the moment of the announcement of the Charlie Hebdo massacre, January 7, 2015 at noon, Prime Minister Manuel Valls decided to implement the Vigipirate attack Plan at Ile-de-France. This comprises a hundred automatic measures and about two hundred other options. Among the chosen measures, the Interior Ministry announced the postponement of all authorized demonstrations. The authorities feared that terrorists might fire on the crowd. However, a far-left party called to demonstrate immediately in support of Charlie Hebdo. After a few hours of hesitation, the Commissioner of Police authorized a rally that would number 100 000 people. Even stranger: the Prime Minister declared a national day of mourning for the next day, January 8th. Many rallies were organized by government to celebrate a minute of silence. Still more surprising: the Socialist Party called for a broad national demonstration on Sunday the 11th, which attracted more than 2 million people in Paris. Thus, the government could ban demonstrations because they might be dangerous to their participants, but its members could organize a huge one, inviting leaders of foreign governments without fear for their safety. This manipulation confirms that, contrary to its declarations, the government knew precisely the extent of the threat and knew it did not concern gatherings. They thus prefered to retain only this extraordinary popular movement for freedom.

National Union

In this crisis situation, the right and the left agreed to participate together in a national event. But for what values or against whom will they demonstrate? We discover that the leaders of the left and right shared the anti-religious, anti-national and anti-militarist values of the very leftist Charlie Hebdo. We knew that its founder, Philippe Val, was a friend of the Sarkozys. Suddenly we discover that its new manager, Charb, was the companion of a right-wing minister, Jeannette Bougrab. The latter was the guest of TF1's journal. Very moved, she tells of her love. Then she presents Charb's anti-religious convictions as a secular commitment in the face of Islamism, before comparing her friend to Jean Moulin and requesting that he be buried with him in the Pantheon. She ends by revealing that the couple had thought to leave France and start a new life elsewhere. We are left stunned. In a few words, Jeannette Bougrab just showed her contempt for her fellow citizens, assimilated secularism to the anti-religious struggle and put an anti-national comedian on an equal footing with the founder of the National Council of the the Resistance. The Charb family may well protest as it will but doubt has been cast. And so that we may well understand what is the "national union", seen from the right and the left, socialist leaders declared that the National Front would be excluded from the "republican" demonstration. Have we really understood the enormity of the proposal? Political leaders evoke the Republic to exclude their rivals. Ultimately, the FN joined demonstrations in the provinces.

The International Union

By inviting all sorts of Heads of State and government leaders to open the event with him, President Hollande intended to give it an air of solemnity.Among these present, one counted David Cameron and Benjamin Netanyahu, whose states wield omnipotent military censorship; or again the US Secretary of Justice, Eric Holder, whose country loves freedom of expression so much that it bombed and destroyed numerous TV stations from that of Belgrade to the Libyan networks; Turkish Prime Minister, Ahmet Davutoglu, whose country banned the construction of Christian churches (even if it seems set to soon authorize one); or again Benjamin Netanyahu who congratulated al-Qaeda fighters treated in Israeli hospitals; once again without forgetting Eric Holder, Ahmet DavutoÄŸlu and King Abdullah of Jordan, whose States reorganized Daesh in January, 2014.So what were these folks doing in Paris? Certainly not defending freedom of expression and worship which they actually fight.

Freedom of expression

It's not only the political class that took the opportunity hog the blankets. So did the press. It sees in Charlie Hebdo an example of the very freedom of press it keeps trampling, self-censoring constantly and always showing solidarity with crimes committed abroad by the government. The French press is indeed numerous, but extremely conformist and therefore not pluralistic. This is so right up to the unanimity with which it presents Charlie Hebdo. For, contrary to what it claims, the satirical newspaper proclaimed its opposition to freedom of expression, notably when it was petitionning to ban the National Front or campaigning for censorship of the internet.Anyway, we can only be grateful that the press has finally come to the defense of those who are attacked for what they have said.

About the jihadist trail

Continuing its investigation in the wrong direction, the press provides a profile of terrorists and forgets to look into their sponsors. Without cracking a smile, it explained that this wave of attacks is a collaboration between al-Qaeda members in Yemen and Daesh, even though the two organizations have been engaged for a year in a fierce war that has killed at least 3,000 victims in both camps. On this subject, I am surprised at these references; we should soon find a new one that connects the attack to Libya. Indeed, if François Hollande follows in the footsteps of George W. Bush, he should attack Yemen although France has no great advantage in such a project. However her personal chief of staff, General Puga, is preparing a new military intervention in Libya. This target is much more logical. France could then reap the benefits that it hoped to obtain from its first intervention. And it would end the US project of remodeling the "Broader Middle East" as published by Robin Wright in The New York Times in September, 2013 [2] and begun by Daesh in Iraq and Syria.

Oh oh. Copy cat? Activated cells operating? NATO impersonating them?

Quote: Just a flashing headline for now from Bloomberg citing AFP:

  • HOSTAGES TAKEN IN POST OFFICE IN PARIS SUBURB, POLICE SAY: AFP
It is unclear if this is a continuation to the tragic events from last week, and if there is any terrorist component to this situation, however it is worth noting that there were overnight warnings of more potential cells and attacks by ISIS-related elements.
Some more from RT:
Three people have been taken hostage by an unknown gunman at a post office in Colombes, a northwest suburb of Paris, French media reported.
The gunman is armed with a Kalashnikov rifle, French RTL radio reports. He is holding from two to five people hostage, Le Figaro reports, citing police sources.

...busy day, eh? The Paris Post Office 'event' ended with no deaths or injured. Man involved surrendered and seems by all reports to have been mentally unstable. I don't think this barrage of events is over yet....not by a long shot... It seems many arrests were made last night that have not yet been publicly explained as to where/who/why/etc.

I'm surprised to read today that the Verviers murdered and ?arrested? were not connected to the Paris events....as last night I read several reports that the man who held hostages in the Kosher Grocery has sold his car to these men and bought of sold arms from/with them. How things can change in 24 hours. In fact the arrested man last night was said to have died - but this morning was in custody. I don't claim to know which is true.

I think on thing is for sure...any jihadist cells in Europe whatever their plans were - if any - would now be thinking about bringing about as quick an action as possible. Also, any false-flag Gladio types would be gearing up for action soon too.....so stay tuned.....

This endless parade of Ninja Police armed to the teeth is now so regular that most people consider it the new norm.

There have been about 50+ attacks on Muslims and Mosques in France

There have been about 50+ arrests in France under the new law 'supporting or giving verbal comfort to terrorists'.

Here, as I walked home with my dog, we realized the street was full of neo-Nazis headed to the Castle for an anti-Muslim demonstration. The police were also headed that way dressed as Ninjas. I live by the Castle, but decided I didn't want to watch this ****! I'll see it in the papers tomorrow, for sure.

One of the terrorists who killed 17 people in this month's attacks in Paris has been buried secretly in an unmarked grave amid fears that it could become a shrine for extremists, officials said on Saturday.

Saïd Kouachi, who attacked the Charlie Hebdo office with his younger brother Chérif, killing 12 people, was buried after dark on Friday under tight police security in the eastern city of Reims.

Even his widow, Soumya, did not attend, fearing she would be followed by reporters and give away the location of the grave, according to her lawyer, Antoine Flasaquier. However, several other relatives were present.

The mayor, Arnaud Robinet, said he had initially refused a request by Kouachi's family to bury him in Reims, where he lived with his wife before he died with his brother in a shoot-out with police on January 9.

"The government reminded me of my obligation (to allow the burial) under the legislation," Mr Robinet said on Saturday, referring to a French law that grants the right to be buried in the place of last residence.

"He was buried last night, in the most discrete, anonymous way possible," the mayor said.
He did not specify which cemetery Kouachi was buried in, and claimed not to know the location of the grave.
"Given the risk of disturbance of the peace and in order to quickly turn the page on this tragic episode, it was decided to proceed with the burial quickly," officials said in a statement.
Chérif Kouachi is also to be buried in an unmarked grave, in the Paris suburb of Gennevilliers, where he lived.
Officials said they had turned down a request by his widow Izzana for both brothers to be buried together in Gennevilliers on the grounds that Saïd Kouachi had often stayed at their flat there.
The officials refused to specify when Chérif Kouachi would be buried.
It is still unclear where the third terrorist, Amedy Coulibaly, will be buried. He lived in the Paris suburb of Fontenay-aux-Roses and had rented a flat in nearby Gentilly where weapons were found after police killed him on the same day as the Kouachi brothers.
The controversy over where to bury the terrorists echoed a row over the 2012 burial of the gunman Mohamed Merah, who killed three Jewish schoolchildren, a rabbi and three paratroopers in the south of France. The then president, Nicolas Sarkozy, overruled the objections of the mayor of Toulouse to allow the burial in the city.
An additional two million copies of the latest, post-attack issue of Charlie Hebdo are being printed, taking the total number to seven million.
Previously 60,000 copies of each issue were printed, of which only half were sold.
Hundreds of thousands of copies of the magazine have been sold outside France. People eager to read it formed long queues in London and Berlin.
Online versions are being brought out in English, Arabic and Spanish.

Yes, yes, I'm sure. I'm just surprised he wasn't buried at sea in the middle of the night.

Here is a video of the execution of Amedy Coulibaly. It is a German website with the actual live French video of the police assault on the deli. There are three videos. The first one repeatedly shows Coulibaly with tied hands containing no weapons shot down and killed when he could easily have been captured. It is as if the order was to make sure that there is no live suspect whose story might have to be explained away. The first video also repeatedly shows the execution in slow motion. Commentary in French accompanies the video.

I saw this earlier in this thread. Having watched it carefully many times, I think the assault from the second entrance around the corner and out of sight, was probably the key one. Once the electronic roller shut goes up (who pressed the button for that to happen?) one policeman with a tactical shield goes in. This is followed by an awful lot of shooting. Too much to have come from the doorway we are watching, imo. And then Coulibaly comes out and very clearly has plasticuffs or some other restraints on his wrists. And is shot dead for the camera.

This raises very many questions. How long had he been restrained? For me this whole event happened far too quickly for a member of the police (presumably the reason why the one with the tactical shield entered the store?) to disarm him and cuff him and then send him out to his death. I provisionally conclude he was under control and restrained before the roller shutter even went up. This was a show execution.

And if this analysis is correct, or close to being correct, the question then looms large. Why?

Mr. Blue eyes and his brother are buried at sea - so to speak. No images of their deaths or the assault. No real images of them except those outside of Charlie Hedbo and the next corner - where they stopped the getaway car to get out and shout slogans,, get in, shoot up a cop car and disappear for good - with the exception of a"reports" of holding up a petrol station - but no pics from the cameras at that petrol station.

There are far too many inconsistencies in the whole story, frankly. Let's remember that a third man was named as the getaway driver - until it was proven beyond doubt this couldn't be the case. The killing of the policewoman on the same day, reported by the police as being unconnected to the Charlie Hedbo attack, but then, the next day, when Coulibaly comes out to play for his friends (the two brothers), the death of the policewoman is suddenly attributed to him.

Here's the clip:

Open to full screen and ask yourself who the cops are shooting at? This is a shop with lots of hostages, but with seemingly indiscriminate automatic gunfire by the cops. And straight ahead, where as best we can see, Coulibaly is not. When he does appear, he's to the right of the window as we watch. While the cops are in full assault mode with flash-bangs and automatic weapons popping off, Coulibaly apparently has his hands restrained - as mentioned above - but more important than that, he has his rifle slung over his back and no hand weapon in sight at any time. What was he thinking? I'll run for the door where the most cops are shooting, leave my weapon on my shoulders and hope they all miss me? It also seems to me he was running away from someone, such was the immediacy of his flight.
