Roger Feinman on CBS's cover up of the JFK case
#11
Terrific talk. But I was hoping to hear a bit more about the 4 part 1975 CBS cover-up which he mentions several times but without details. I did a paper for college on this one. Discovered Itek had lots of Rockerfeller ties.

Yes, it looks like there is a Part Two. Is that available, Jim?

The 1967 series was a four parter. One hour per night.

The 1975 one was not that long I don't think. Plus, if I recall, it was on more than just the JFK case.

This is all I could salvage.

BTW, did you notice who the producer of the 1975 show was: Les Midgley.

Wikipedia (I know, I know!):

During World War II, Wm. Paley served in the psychological warfare branch in the Office of War Information, under General Dwight Eisenhower, and held the rank of colonel.

Frank Stanton: During World War II, he consulted for the Office of War Information, the Secretary of War, and the Department of the Navy, while serving as a vice president at CBS. He was selected as the administrator-designate of the Emergency Communications Agency, part of a secret group created by President Eisenhower in 1958 that would serve in the event of a national emergency that became known as the Eisenhower Ten.

Tracy Riddle Wrote:Not to mention the peculiar twists and turns on Elm St. Those CBS tests have been consistently misrepresented in every lone-nutter book I've read. They are always used to prove how it was highly possible for Oswald to do the shooting.

Glad I read this response before responding myself, but I might add along with directional changes are elevation changes to consider. To me, a true test would be at the same location, same sunlight, same weather, identical weapon, identical supposed shooter, and at least mannequins representing known and/or supposed occupants of the area at the time. JMO, but I think it is needed to present any lone gunman theory.

Such much of the world we live in came out of the inferno of World War II. That whole generation in particular was shaped by the experience of it, and America suddenly becoming the dominant superpower. To many of them, the strategic "national interest" was more important than the truth and the facts about any one event.

So true. I would only add that guys like these identified with elite power, and were part of its apparatus. Democracy, the right of citizens to know what their government is up to, and the job of a free press to expose the wrongdoings of government became a quaint foolishness to be chuckled over during after-dinner brandy and cigars.
